good early afternoon,

got some more lawn mowed,
cleared some more brush and cut a tree down.
nice to have the chain saw going again..

a neighbor came and picked my elderberries. going to give me a bottle of wine..

right now I am juicing about 40 pounds of raspberries.
this is going to be a nice batch of wine..

there are about 32 chicks hatched now.. about half way home..

only had a donut for breakfast. need to get some lunch.

Ok, cannerful recipe:

50+ cups of tomatoes cut up
8-10 large onions chopped

Cook in large pot (we use our large pressure canner without pressure) until tomatoes are soft and slipping their skins and onions are clear.
Run this through the juicer.

Return to pot and add:

1 1/2 cups oregano
2 cups sweet basil
2 cups garlic powder (or granulated or minced)
1/4 cup canning salt
2 Tbls black pepper
2 cups (unpacked) brown sugar
8 12oz cans tomato paste

Simmer until well blended and desired thickness. Hot pack in jars.

Please, if you try this leave me some feedback. I like to know how people like it and what they think may need changing.

Now it's my turn to get all cupp'd up. Dark Italian roast. Nothing beats good coffee

a really good cuppa is hard to find.
I liked Annie's Restaurant coffee, but they tore the place down.
Dunkin donuts has good coffee, but their donuts aren't that great.
2510 has good coffee, but they don't have a good selection of donuts..

we have about 40 chicks from this hatch so far.
by tomorrow they will be all done..

We like dark strong coffee. There's one we order from Amazon called jet fuel. That's some wicked good stuff. I hate when places serve hot brown water and call it coffee. Gotta run out to Bryant and get my engine light checked out. It came on yesterday but it's not acting funny or anything so I'm sire it's nothing....atleast I hope. The truck has 177k miles so there's always the possibility. My lAst Chevy I sold had 245k on it and was still running strong. I'm tempted to get a ford next but just don't know if I can do that!

good morning,
I like Ford.. I have a 4 X 4 Silverado now, my brother bought a brand new truck and just gave the Chevy to me..
I would never buy an extended cab, but I do accept free ones. LOL

kind of lost count on the chick hatch, it is somewhere between 65 and 70 I think.. 11 more hatched overnight.

a couple dead ones.. but that happens with the late hatchers, they are weak and not virile anyhow.. that is why they don't hatch in the first place ..

Have help coming at 9AM to help pull out the brush bush roots.. all he has to do is wrap the chain around the branches and I can lift them out with the loader..
It is too hard for me to do alone. jumping on and off of the tractor wears me out ..

I have a ton of brush piles to collect and put onto a burn pile. I decided to make the pile next to the road and light it after we have snow on the ground..

I like strong coffee, but I don't want to chew it ..

400
anyone know if
This stuff is worth more than its weight in scrap? Old hay rake and spud picker

Oh wow don't get rid of them! They're awesome!

I'll look into it and ask around down here.

Many people near us use old farm equipment as yard art but I'm not sure what it goes for. What do you figure you'd get as scrap?
