Good Morning everyone. I hope everyone had a fun past week. I did. I just returned from New York. Also got to attend the Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

400

Thought since I can finally post a picture I'd show the plow truck. Not bad for 700 bucks. Got a bear tag this year. Never actually hinted for a bear so I'm really really pumped. Gonna put in a beef roast shortly and get my arse to bed soon.

morning,
nice truck corey. you have the newer style plow. the one I had I had to lie down and reach about two feet beyond the front of the bumper to put two pins in the plow frame.
need I say, I seldom took the plow off ?

I think I am going to take a break from the internet.
It seems like just about everybody left.

It used to be that there would be a couple of pages of posts to read. now not so anymore.

Last cold morning before the warm up....bring the melting on!

Thanks for asking about Mom bl4. She has been moved to a nursing home and is slowly on the mend. Time will tell if going home is a option in the future. Yep, the weber gets a workout here all year long....I prefer grilled food over any other method, except when the meat needs to become tender from the cooking method.

Nice truck cw.....I think you got a heckofa deal on it.

Nice forest Jim...glad the asparagus is sprouting for you too.

I have to prune all the apple trees in the next month or so. Hoping for a better crop than last year. My Cortland really produced last year, so I suppose it will prolly be the slacker this year. I think my Gala tree will prolly need replaced...it's over 35 years old and being shaded by other trees now, and seems to be on the decline.

That's actually kinda funny cw. I can go to bed a hour before suzie and still awake when she arrives....then in less than 5 minutes she is sleeping and I'm still awake....dang that just ain't right.

Tonight for supper it's country style pork ribs, smothered in ho-made kraut, with cheezy scalloped potatoes and buttered beets from the garden....and tonight it's ice cream bars for desert.

I love pork and kraut. Never had a bad dinner with the two. My beef roast smells ridiculous good.....prolly why I can't sleep! I think I'm just gonna get up. Maybe I'll make some venison brats and kraut too. Just to have in the fridge for a quick lunch for work and tomorrow. I do suppose I'll be tired enough to sleep about 9 when I gotta get ready for work. **** the bad luck

Beautiful day in the badger state today. Decided I should move some more wood to the basement today...pulled the tarp back and it's some of the best wood I cut last spring...hickory and hard maple...so...I'll just start a new row in the basement for next year with this stuff....wood that is used for the coldest winter below 0 wood to heat needs to be saved for those times of need.

The birds sure enjoy this nice sunny weather....the crowing here today was non-stop. When my buckeyes are willing to walk on the snow, they are happy birds. Lookin like a early spring....the wild tom turkeys have been here daily now...some awful nice ropes hangin on some of them. I'm getting anxious to get after them....I love eating wild turkey, and nothing is wasted from the harvest here.

The winter of 16 was a gentle one for sure compared to some I've experienced.

Have Fun...good as it gets...bigz
