@chickisoup -that's quite an adventure at 2 am...or anytime really!

What a crazy busy weekend we had (no bears involved!)
Graduation party was a success. We had company all weekend. I worked Sat, ran all over heaven's 1/2 acre the rest of Sat and all Sunday...it was totally worth it, but I crashed last night! I think I fell asleep at 6:30 and was pretty much oblivious until this morning.
Chickens are doing great! I added another cube of pine shavings and left it pretty much in a big pile.
I came back out and, sure enough, they'd scratched it all out evenly!
I'll have to get some pictures and ask which ones are for sure boys on another thread since they're 8 weeks old now.
It's funny how much they are still changing. I have an Easter egg that had all gold feathers and no discernable muff last week, now this week she has black feathers in there too and a big ole muff, man is she pretty!
Garden is surviving, DH was upset that I didn't get it watered yesterday

Thinking about getting some rabbits later this year since I've talked myself out of pigs and there's little chance I can talk DH into goats or sheep

At least beef cattle are in our not so distant future. Looking forward to that...oh, and eggs... can't wait for the eggs!!!
