Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I like to add a cup or so of shredded zuke to my meatloaf. Really makes is moist. Doesn't change the flavor either. Got most of my glass cut today. Had to stop and make my daughter's favorite, chili. Hopefully get the rest cut yet today. Then to grind, foil and solder. So excited to get this done and get the new member of the family home!!

afternoon,

you remember the gal who brought me those two roosters ? well, today she brought all six of the hens.. How's that for downsizing ??

I had to get after Zeke twice for chasing the new chickens :barnie.. . how can he tell they are different ?

Brent, I had a pig once. she wouldn't eat
zucchini .. If a pig won't eat it, then neither will I ..:old

good morning,
waiting for the coffee to brew.
waiting for the rest of you to wake up.

WAKE UP !!
the pups survived their first night outside very well
they slept in a pile..
today they are being moved to the big pen.

Good morning! I'm up, I'm up!

Chickens and turkeys are fed. Some weeds are pulled and breakfast (homemade granola with assorted berries and milk) has been consumed. It looks to be a gorgeous day! I'll spend it outside mowing and weeding. Best place to be on such a day.
Jim, do we get to see pictures of those pups?
Have a good one all. I hope all your projects go well.

If I don't forget, I will take the camera along when we move the pups to the big pen,, sounds like prison, doesn't it ??

it warmed up to about 60+ now. and the pups are all awake ..

I fed them earlier, they ate every bit of it.
puppy chow mixed with puppy milk replacer

when we move them I am going to turn them all loose on the grass. then put Frankie on a leash and hope they follow her to prison.. if it works, it will be better than making 5 trips carrying them 5o yards..

I have to put a board across the doorway so the puppies can't get out, but Frankie can go in and out..

I haven't seen Zeke today. must be staying out of my way after the chewing out he got yesterday. He's lucky that's all he got.....

after we put the new windows in, I do not want to put the window AC's back in.
I am going to see if I can get nephew Jake to help me cut holes through walls and wall mount them..
might even buy new units so that I won't have to change these old ones out if they break down. . they are old, but have served us well..
our DS asked why we don't put in a central AC ? because for about 10% of the cost each bedroom can have it's own environment ..
we don't have a furnace. no duct work.
our house is 100% electric..
when we built our house, it was only the 4th total electric house in Marathon County
1968 ...

Yep, I have hot water heat and no duct work for air either. That's sounds like a good idea to simply place one in the wall....I see last week fleet had a 12,000 btu window a/c for $299. I think just one of those would help quite a bit.

bigz

A 5000 btu would handle any of our bedrooms.
a 6000 btu would give just a little more edge.
usually the stores jump from 5000 to 8000.
if we run ours for just a half hour before we go to bed, that is enough to cool it down to the outside temp.

today is puppy moving day,

Been a little while! Went on vacation in the UP last week, what a nice way to recharge the batteries! Just me and the DH rented a cabin outside of Musining and spent the week kayaking and checking out the beauty of the area.

No luck with a house yet, going to look at a few on Wednesday. I hope we are able to get one soon! Like in the next few weeks! The driving back and forth is really getting old.......

I took these today, just before they moved off of the deck and into the big pen.
I think they like all the extra room.
I just learned something .
If you click on a picture it will enlarge,, I knew that.
If you click on the enlarged picture it will enlarge again.
That I didn't know..
