Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Wyo, I just got a phone call from John in Cheyanne, He did what I figured he did.
He found a dog in Cheyanne . 6 months old and started with goats .
Not a Maremma, though.
So all's well that ends well..

Tuesday is going to be a busy day around this homestead. our new bed is being delivered, nephew Jake is coming to install the new windows,
and company is coming from Iowa to go see the Lover Boys at our county fair. and somebody might be coming to pick beans.. seems like something I am missing.. Oh well, on Tuesday it will come to me..

I was informed that I am going to be attaching some upholstering material to the ends of the couch on the sunporch tomorrow. Frankie ripped it.
Long story.. she was saving her pup..

this happened when Frankie had just the one pup
they were out in the sun porch and the pup crawled in between the end of the couch and the stairway it was butted up to.
the pup was too young and dumb to back out so it started crying. Frankie went to help by trying to dig the couch away.
we were not home, but Kalib was. he heard both dogs whining so he went and rescued the pup.
So Annie bought a yard of material to patch the whole area under the arm/side of the couch. going to do the unripped end also so they will both match.
nothing fancy, just a square patch..
roll the edges and staple it on..

I have a 1/4" crown stapler and compressor all readied for the job tomorrow.

THE END :bun

good morning,
getting ready for tomorrow.
I just unpacked the windows. double checked their frame size.. all looks OK.

it is really hot out at 10AM and destined to get hotter as the day wears on.

We got a new german shepherd pup. She is only 4 weeks old but her momma was all done feeding and the pups wouldn't leave her alone so the lady wondered if I would take her early. She cut the price in half for me so I said sure. So far she is a darling. She eats, sleeps, poops, plays for 5 minutes and starts over, lol.

Still waiting on the house. You would think that if they were going to reject our final offer, they would do it right away instead of jerking us along...... sometimes I hate people.

Mel, are you working with their realtor or yours ?
Tell them you need an answer because you have
your eye on a different property.
you gotta lie like they do. you won't go to hell for it.
well, maybe you might, but you can cross that bridge when you come to it..

so I'm going to need to cover the top with bird netting unless I clip their wings I guess. I don't want the chickens to get out...my female dog will kill them. I so wanted to let them free-range the entire yard..I have 1.1 acre....but that isn't going to happen now because of the dog.
How do you clip their wings? I know it's different than a parrots? Thx! Lynn

I never clipped a wing.
I would think that clipping just one wing would do it. then they can't fly straight at where they want to go.. and often will just flip over onto their back. once or twice like that and they will never try flying again.
you know the flight feathers will grow back in time..
