Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

So, I could really use some help about this egg. I had to move eggs from under a broody hen to my incubator (she was crushing the eggs)

One out of 20+ eggs was a chicken egg (I only have male guineas, no roosters).
I candled every egg ( for some reason this entire hatch I've tried to do are AAAALLLL in different stages :he to see if I needed to put them in the regular Bator or the lock down Bator.
And I got this when I candled the one chicken egg.... Is/was this viable?!

No stink at all that I can tell, it's supposed to be around or older then day 18 though. Which has me wondering - was it viable before and it died off?
Or because it would be a guinea/chicken cross it's still growing but just has wwwaaayyyyy too much room in this chicken egg?
I don't want to keep a bad egg, but I dont want to throw out any living babies either :/

first off, guineas and chickens cannot cross.
like BL4 said, if it doesn't stink , let 'er ride..
if it stinks, there will be no doubt. You won't have to guess..
Once you smell a stinky, you will be able to smell one as soon as you enter the room..
don't worry so much about lockdown.
at the latter stages of incubation, turning is not so critical.
If you are near lockdown. just stop turning all of the eggs..
If they weren't under a hen before you put them into the bator, they should all be the same.. If they are not, then maybe some of them have given up.
Give the guinea eggs a few extra days to hatch..as long as they do not stink, you can hold them for several days to make sure they will hatch or not..
try to not open the bator if there are pips.. the hatched ones are good to wait for a day or so..

Thank you, I appreciate all the info :hugs.
But guineas and chickens can cross, it doesn't normally happen, but it does on occasion...

sorry, I am not buying that story.
the bird is a mutation, I think the lady jumped to a false conclusion..
I think I would believe it if they did a NDA .

once you get to know me, you will find that I do not put much faith in what people post on byc. some is OK, but some (much) is pure BS
I won't get into an argument over anything.
I state my opinion and everybody else can believe what they want..

Lol not trying to argue, just showing where I got some of my info from lol. There's a lot more out there then that, lol.
In any case, about my egg... Any ideas other then just seeing what happens? Lol

I don't want to end up with it exploding every where, I don't even know what stage to put the egg at
