Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

yeah, I would like to have Ollie in the garage so I can check out the alternator.
I am thinking a little belt dressing will take care of it. the super cold v belt might be slipping a little..

I think today would be a good day to try to pull Ollie out of the snow.. However my truck driver is down with the flue.
Annie is coming home at around noon on Friday
On Tuesday we had Frankie put down. that is her in the picture . She was in lots of pain with arthritis..

Glad to here the boss is coming home Jim. Maybe a special FFF is in order LOL!
Bean soup with bacon and sausage is cooking away and smelling really good....wonder how many sample tastes I'll have before supper today? We grow our own cranberry beans and dry shell them by hand. In large glass jars, they store for years.

I asked Annie if she wanted to come straight home or go to Jenny's for a FFF. She will think about it.
I used to make baked beans with dry navy beans. then I got lazy and went to canned pork & beans and doctor them up to suit my taste.
I was going to make some dinner rolls today, but we are out of milk.
I would like to buy active dry yeast in larger amounts rather than that tiny jar that Flieschmans has.. I could get it in bulk on amazon, but I would have to buy four pounds in order to get free shipping.

I do go to Sam's,, thanks for the tip.
I don't go there often because I usually don't do the shopping..
The man who lives with us in our group home used to be the manager of Sam's. until he had a stroke and other complications..
He still goes there to visit the people who used to work for him..
I keep my yeast in the freezer. it keeps for a long time.

it turns out that our Sam's cards just expired in Oct. but DD Brenda shops there often so she brought me 2 pounds of instant dry yeast and 25 pounds of flour. No charge. I suspect she thinks I will make a batch of rolls for her.
My youngest sister and one of her boys came on Sat and did a whole bunch of cleaning and dusting. they came again today.I will have to find a way to repay them..

We went shopping for Christmas dinner at Aldi. They had most of the store prices reduced for holiday shoppers. 5lb bag of flour was only .99, so we bought 60lbs at that price.
Nice melt going on...I love that for sure.
