those are probably production browns. egg layers . there might be some good time left in them, but not enough for the egg factory.
If they don't lay eggs well, they would make good soup if you feed them good grain for a few weeks.

labor day, I think I labored enough today. cut down a couple of trees and cleaned up some wind falls. still cleaning out the big lean to. have a little more to do in order to make room for the lawn mowers and tiller this winter. can get the tractor in, though.

Goodluck on selling it, prolly be nice someone spent the time to refinish and never know might be someone out there. Do not know till try.

Start selling corn again tomorrow, mowed first patch down. Picking second batch feeding chickens. Left message for neighbor and hoping to get some rye seed and start reseeding rye for next year spring growth.
Put some goldfish in the cattle tank. Getting to be some skito larva.
Wife said no to more chickens, anyway buck each. Doubt they last long. I am sure there people out there filling their freezer. Every year they sell them production hens.
