, a lot of sellers don't have the paperwork done its a pain, as testers we need to tell you, and do, its up to you to do it or not. I know of a fellow who one year made everyone who bought for him fill out the forms, the next year he gave up on it it cost him more to deal with it and send it in than he made off the birds he sold. ID is no big deal at the moment as bigzio said, but.......most who have Illegal birds skip it, they don't what the record of what they are doing.

Hmm. Might actually have to go buy a beer. That sounds quick and easy. Does the bread end up tasting like beer? (Not a beer fan, smells like skunk.)

Well in 42 hours, we got our very cluttered house turned into a near perfect show house for sale OR rent.
She had 8 people show up, 6 confirmed, and 2 stopping by as she had posted that on her ad on the CL.
And she forgot her key, so had to borrow mine.
DH has the cold I had, and its kicking his behind...
Love the pics, and the info on the premises ID.
I will have to do that when I bring my chookies home with me.

Well good night all.

Carol

Bigzio and BCC-Does that ID mean that everyone who has chickens needs it or just people who sell/show? I've never heard of it before now. I know with our town they will ask every couple years how many animals we have on the property, but that's it. Huh, not that I am necessarily going to get the ID but am more or less just curious. Thanks

good evening, Brent, I printed a cop of your beer bread recipe. I will try it soon..

I am leary of any tracking numbers kept for anything.. they all start out innocently, but once they get misused it is too late to turn back.. The Social Security Number was never supposed to be used for idetification.. Most of you are too young to remember when the soc sec # was a guarded secret.. Now you can't even rent a car without it.. and at many stores, all you have to do is give them your name and they will tell you your address, phone, soc sec # etc...

If I ever buy a bird or animal from somebody and they start with the numbers and forms,,, s o r r y, you just lost a sale..

IMHO

I'm with you on this jvls. When I first got my SS card my father made me memorize my number, told me never to tell it to another person, then put my card in the safe! Alot of stores have started tracking sales by phone numbers, I always refuse that as well. Hell even the questions on the census scare the H outta me, not that I'm paranoid, but one never knows how in the future that information may be used. Better safe than sorry.

I totally agree with you guys on the numbers, to much info out there. I too remember my folks telling us to memorize our ss# and put it in the safe. Now you might as well get a stamp

WCC way to go on the fast pick up. It's such a pain in the $#$ when you have to show your home while living in it.

hopefully one of them will take it and you won't have to show again. Good luck with the move sounds like a great place.
Better get movin, have a good one, Susie

good morning everyone, I am running late this morning, must have caught something, lying in the snow working on the coop.
Yesterday I put vinyl on the floor for easy clean up, Will use deep litter.
Today, I will get the brooder set up - the wood chips. April 17th is quickly approaching.

working on plans for the run, darn hardware cloth is expensive, think i will put it on all sides and then use double chicken wire on the roof. Hopefully it will be safe. my cheap coop is getting more expensive.
Wish i had a week off when the ground was thawed, I would get the fence up.

I am reading yet another chicken book, so far just repeats of what I read. Saw 12 deer walking beyond my fenced in back yard and heard the turkeys in the background. 2 of my dogs just watched them wander through, the deer noticed them but kept on grazing and walking, Hopefully they will find the chickens just as boring.

Have a great day

David

Gooood Morning Everyone! So much to address again. So Bigz you are saying that recipe is incomplete, it should read 12 oz. or more beer. But only 12oz. in the batter.

Agree very cute babies Bec! Always get a kick out of the SS numbers being so secret. When I was in the Army pages upon pages of orders for things such as reassignment or promotions were printed with peoples names and SS numbers. Heading to woods this AM after B'fast and chores. Going to let the fire go out and clean the chimney too. Brrr.

We are using dog kennel panels for our runs-we had to buy a few new but most were off of CL, are cover is a black woven tarp and so far it has been holding up even in winter with the snow. Our birds are let out in the morning and then closed in at night. I know the price of material adds up fast! Good luck.
