You guys need to limit to one post per day! I can't keep up!


So what do you do when you have 2 ducks who think they need to be broody on the SAME nest??????? Those dingbats Taffy and Maggie have BOTH decided they will be setting eggs on the SAME nest of 14 eggs! What the he// am I going to do with all of these babies AFTER the bash??????


For all of you who have been sending PM's about the calls: I will be asking the same price as SF , $10 for babies and $15 for juvies. I am sorry I have not gotten back to anybody, but it is difficult to get onto the computer with 4 kids at home all day long!!!


Ok, off to relax with my vino..... pulled 11.5 hours today and I am pooped.

Good evening! Well I guess I was the silly one for thinking that it was Cind that said that about the note! I could have sworn that it was her that said it...I bet the Walmart part confused me...I still see her and her "dull black truck" in the Walmart parking lot!

I found my pale hen!

she was out there to eat this morning. Must have flown over the fence and not known how to get back in. Kind of like how the banty does EVERY night! She is in the coop tonight...I checked! I think I have to put another roost bar in there. They are getting big and now they cant fit as many on it as before.

The little hen lost another guinea chick today--down to 3. I am really glad I took half into the brooder in the house! I wasnt able to check on the progress of the hatching one under the Guinea hen. Maybe tomorrow...I hope it makes it along with lots more! My friend wants some guineas to sleep in her horse shed to help with the ticks in her wooded property. Even with Frontline her dogs are bringing them into the house.

Jim--DH says that Tecumseh parts are hard to find because no one is making replacement parts for their engines (they are out of business) We will see--I just want my tiller back!
If I see any Hackberry trees I will certainly dig them up for you Celtic--funny I just find out I have 2 and now someone wants one! I have no idea what the berries even look like--except for what it showed in the book...I think I will look it up and see if they show a young one. The bark is different as the tree grows older I have read. It is very obvious once you know what they look like though!

Well I have decided that Horn dog the chihua (Mack) can do what he wishes to Bentley, except for licking his stinging nettle wounds.. They both decided to sniff and do inappropriate things (or try to) to my Lexi pup..
Sooo can I send up a pair or parakeets and a siberian hamster with their cages with Terri??
I can send them to the swap part of the bash

OH.. Can we start a list of things people are bringing to the bash?
And where should we post the list??
I can send up some silkies (not the ones from Hurley), some mixed breed cockerals and a few pullets...with Terri.. hehehehe

I must be crazy, I bought 2 guinea keets today because my kids thought they were so cute. I cannot stand guineas. They will be getting rehomed when they mature. I got a violet and a royal purple.

Well, glad your hen is back! I have 27' of roost bar for 16 hens.... they still fight over "prime" space! I'm glad you took some guinea chicks to the brooder too! Is Turk's baby ok? you didn't post a pic.

Busy when it wasn't raining and raining when I could have done it

Oh well, the ones I planted needed it! DH wanted B-B-Q ribs for supper, It wasn't raining when I lit the grill

..... lol I sat there holding a dollar store umbrella over me and the grill

I wouldn't recommend it! And yet the silly chickens (well the favored 3 and a couple of others) had to come see. Most people worry about the dog or even the cat steeling food... some of us have to watch the chickens! Man have they learned that when the grill was lit... goodies were soon to come! They checked out everything and they weren't shy about trying to sample!

I think a list of what critters (or other things) people want to bring for sale, trade, or giveaway is a good idea. And maybe a list for what people want too. I know, more work for someone.

WICC, I am bringing Calls and the kids. Nobody has really said if they wanted perennials or not.......... I can dig some though if anybody wants some.

Good Morning Everyone! Bigz your memory is correct L and I will help with the aftermath at the camp. Well Buster is better when I'm out in the yard but is now taking out his aggression on the tractor, lawn mower, and now the Jeep. When the tractor starts rolling to go out back he goes after the rear tires same with the mower. Yesterday I pulled in the drive and he crossed in front of the Jeep defiantly and after I went by I heard a whomp. One of these days he's gonna pick the wrong spot to attack.

I have decided to leave Peatwo home think morning will come soon enough without him there to tell us it's 4 AM. Cind yup everything is for THEM! Spoiled snots.

Come to the Bash and meet some really chicken sick people! Sure have a lot of new people joining in you'd think it was the dead of winter.

Susie"J" I remember those times. I'm gonna do this this and this. Then reality sets in. But first this really needs doing and this this and this. Takes a long time to get back to that original this. I sometimes think that an appartment would be a heck of a lot easier but then theres all those people and no garden and NO chickens. That's just wrong!

I went and got the tour of the kids place yesterday. Really nice! After I got home I realized that I looked around at all the things that needed to be done. Pretty sad. I'll be out there avoiding my own work in no time.
