Morning all!
Just catching up before I get to washing the dishes in the sink and cleaning up the kitchen a little. Need to do the bathroom too...oh and laundry....*sigh*.... Then It;s time to start cleaning out the upstairs. I have stiff to take to Good Will

The Girls are great and I'm getting more eggs then I know what to do with...6-8 a day....

I just went out and took pics of my "midget" chickens.. MAMA is the black one,, she is not very big herself,, for comparison..






these pictures are taken inside the brooder pens.. note the roosts.there are 3 of them @ 4 ft long..

It is raining here.. not real hard, yet.. we threw a tarp over the straw bales on the trailer..

Morning and Welcome new Guy Steve...
Crappy here this am fog is still clinging pretty good and it isn't raining but surely wet out there, misty.. yuck I need to see the sun I''m depressed enough, with Adam still gone and bill day today I could just cry all day............. God sometimes life sure sucks.!!!!!
Chickies are doing good despite the yucky dreary weather as of late, I took 7 dozen eggs to the Salvation army this morning, cuz I have too many, I think this weird weather has to do with it, my girls are crank en out 12 to 18 eggs a day, and I have them coming outa my ears, my friend/neighbor Sue called this am and is having the same issue with her ducks, she sent over 5 dozen Rowan duck eggs to take along....... well as long as someone gets to eat them I'm happy I also sent A dozen an a half home with the DS's GF last night as well......... without Adam here to cook or bake for I will never use up all these eggs............ maybe I should a butchered some hens along with them roo's........Oh well I will find homes for extra eggs some how. I love my girls too much to eat them anyway........So for now nothing new and have to get to work gonna cook some eggs for the chickens....Later all Kim

If I recall correctly, it is YOU who has umpteen empty barns sitting around that are in desperate need of filling. And as far as egg favors, I should have plenty of lav eggs come spring. Out of the 7 chicks I hatched so far (2 are black splits), it looks like I've got only one roo. Not too bad.

Sorry cs. No sexed chicks here. My bator only holds 7 eggs, so you can have as many as hatch out if you want. Send me a PM sometime. Del, what is your pullet a cross of? Buff and ?

She is a Buff and Cornish

I will go take pictures. She looks more like a Orp/star than a Cornish. Her mom was pure Cornish and a great layer.

He is really big and not fully grown yet




This last picture is to show size. She is pretty small compared to my other Cornish crosses, however she is as tall as a 5 gallon bucket. The Silver Muscovy is about 20lbs.
