good morning,, colder here than a witches tit on the dark side of the moon..
DrH,, I had some help figuring how much hyd oil the system needed. If You don't have enough, it tends to get too warm, especially doing a lot of loading in the warm months.. Most of my work is moving snow, so the oil stays cool... the only place I could mount the tanks was on the front .. I didn't want to block the radiator, so I made two tanks..
0 I have only enough capacity to fill all four cylinders and all the lines,, with a little to spare.. the recommendation was for twice that amount.. each reservoir holds more than two gallons.. If I overfill them, then oil squirts out the filler pipe when the bucket lowers too fast.. Once the squirting is over, then it is good to go..
the bucket rams are double action,, the lift rams are only single action.. I have no down pressure so I can't lift the front wheel off the ground.. prolly a good thing, cause I think that would be hard on the loader and the tractor.. these round tube loaders are not industrial strength..
I plowed only the driveway yesterday.. I didn't clean out the yard.. I had no intentions of plowing when I did.. I was going to just make a pass down and back to see how things worked.. but you know how much fun that can become, and before I knew it I had everything done.. I was not dressed for that, and I didn't have the pad on the cold metal seat, so my ***** got really cold....
If it gets up into the high 20's today, I will put the bucket on..
I still have the sheet metal to put back on, and the muffler and the air cleaner... It will be a shame to cover up that clean white gas tank, though..
Glad L is coming home.. tell her no sumersaults or tumbling for awhile..
