cold eggs might be delayed about a day or two.. they should not go ten days behind.. there must be other circumstances coming into play if that is the case.. like the bator is way below temperature, most likely...

The delay in hatching was only 2 days, Jim, and it was from an egg that was layed 10 days before I put it into the bator. Sorry for the confusion.

The boys love the NYD chickies. Seven "Baby Kevins"! Hooray.



I'll have you know that brooder was spotless at 7am when I left for work. They've been busy, little buggers.

Hurley - love your brooder! Great chick TV for the kiddos!

They love it. That's the "Week 1" brooder. Got a big one for the next couple weeks, then they go out to the shed with heat lamps and a bigger area. The kiddos love the Kevins, so they always start out in the house.
