No school here today, they cancelled at 6. I am thinking if I get out of here early enough, I will get to watch the storm from work all day long since I am finished at 6:30 tonight. Now watch, they cancelled all the schools and we end up with 3".....

Good morning..

I have not been out yet..don't know what its like. I am sure it is an ice skatting rink. It was 50 yesterday, melted all the snow, the yard softened up enough through the day to absorbe the lake sitting on top of the ice, and now it dropped to 7.

I tried talking Judge into going to bed..wonder if I was successful..those first few hatches are so fun, exciting and nerve racking. I revisited that expierence with shipped eggs. Ugh.

Good White Morning! I got stuck once too Jim. Threw chains under the tires and got out. Still thinkin on how to add more weight to the butt end of the Fiord. Put the chains on yesterday, gonna be a rough ride! Vic too bad you weren't closer I've got a cordless with all the bells and whistles you could have. Thinkin your chooks were waiting for you to put their lil boots on.

Dan haven't done a price comparison but we have a water softener and the salt is 50# for less than $5. ND hope your bating goes well and you get a good hatch! delish that is a neat pic of your broody adjusting temps! judge

Congrats! mazo good thinkin on not going swimmin! Going to price out the duct work today. Got 4 eggs yesterday that was a nice surprise after 7 the day before. Sent L to work with the Jeep only an inch and a half out there right now. Traffic is movin slower. Wind is pickin up

Good morning! I was pretty surprised to see all this white stuff this morning...I was paying attention to the temps and not the precip! Jokes on me!

No, nothing wrong with the babies Judge. Just resting and getting ready for the big push. Keep the humidity up and it should all be ok. They probably pipped a bit early because of your slightly higher temps...but just let them be! It is very hard work to absorb all that yolk and cut a hole in the shell to breathe. Congrats to the new "Granny" too!

I called the mill yesterday to place my order for pick up and when I went to the truck to head out last night the tire was flat! Dam^! So I went to try the 4x4 and the battery is dead. I gave up. Today I have to get some stuff out of my car so I can fold down the seat. I dont think my little Saturn really likes picking up #600 of feed though....and it's way more work for me too!

Well it's kind of late and I better get outside and see what kind of damage is out there. I have a feeling it's going to be really fun walking where I did yesterday cause I was sinking 3" into the muddiness...lots of ruts and bumps to step/trip on now I am sure! Such is life on the farm eh?

I wonder what MXM is up to today? Last time she came over I had to go and pull her out of the ditch down the road! LOL! That was fun!
Kristi--have you talked to Carol? She was supposed to come over yesterday...sent her a message but havent heard from her!..What's up?

Have fun playing in the snow "boys" Sure wish you guys lived closer...I could get the drive plowed, the tire fixed, a new coop built and, and, and.....I think I could keep you busy for a while!
