My kitty is home!

He has a feeding tube, and is still pretty sleepy, BUT he is wanting to be petted AND he is doing MUCH better! I will be happier once he starts running around, but right now he is closer to what he once was..... The prognosis is not that great though. Still a 50/50 shot either way, but like I said before I have to give him a chance. He does not look as jaundiced as he did, and if we get enough food into him we are hoping this will get him over the hump.They have diagnosed him with Pancreaititis and Hepatic Lipidosis, both can be treated with medications but not forever.

I suppose it is time to fill the feeding tube..... apparently this is a tricky procedure. Thankfully the vet wrote down all the instructions.

Anybody ever feed a cat with a feeding tube? I can tell you it is an interesting experience...... trying to force a semi thick solution down a little tube into a wiggly cat...... and fingers crossed you are not pushing too fast. Good thing I am not the squeamish type!

I am way full from FFF and think I will be turning in early. DH actually took me out for dinner, and it was beyond awesome! The food was divine.

Bl4, I'm very happy to hear Runt is home and is showing improvement. I hope it continues for a good long while.

I'm certain he feels much better being home too. Are you giving him that CatSure stuff?
Does oldest DS have an acoustic? He might have to bring it to the bash.

I dont think she will be feeding that "thousand dollar" kittie any mice Dan! I just read 70 some posts...I am not full of fish--I had soft boiled eggs and a salad tonight. Was going to make an enchilada casserole but since it uses so much cheese and feeds 10 I am waiting until DH is home tomorrow. HE can help make a good dent in it for sure. Driving all the way home from Nebraska to be home for a day and head back on Monday...maybe he misses me?

Kim I guess I disagree about the table...if you are dead set on keeping and using it I would put a piece of plywood on it and a nice table cloth over the top. Otherwise oak burns pretty good right?

Ditto on the chicks...(like CC and Jim) I agree that they need something...heat, air, food or fresh water. Something. Contented chicks are pretty quiet. When I hear that high peeping out in my barnyard I know that a little one has lost sight of the mamma. Then I track it down and reunite it with the family and all is well again. Same if they are screaming in a brooder...they need fixing.
Off the soap-box now...

Just got back in from chores....everyone snug as a bug. Like you all....I cant wait until spring!

I hope there are no hard feelings. I kept thinking of funny things to say but did not want to egg anybody on.

The brewery is cool/ beautifully built into the side of a bluff.

I have never taken the tour, but once a year I do the pilgrimage with my visiting sister so she can bring fresh beer back to her friends in Fort Wayne along with cheese from the Decatur factory(another Green county.landmark)

Dan thanks for the SNL flashback. It was so much better back then. They would get 3 laughs from a skit and move on to the next one. Now skits are just "jump the shark" long and uncomfortable. Weekend update is still funny.

Bl4... I had an Aunt that did caning very well. She took in allot of repair and replacement work. I know the basics but never got good at it. I need LOTS of practice! It. like many things, is a dying art. Congrats on Runt being home!

BigZ... We had our FFF on Thur. Tempura Smelt with HM onion rings and fries. Pizza tonight. I think we need something healthy for Sat. LOL

I shovelled today!

I know doesn't sound thrilling to most of you, but I have a hard time vacuuming! Mopping is the same, that pushing motion on my back does me in. Thank goodness it was light. I'm rather proud of myself.

I think DH and the boys are too.

Chickens are getting coop (cabin) fever.... seems like there are more scuffles going on in there.... however the longer days are paying off 16 eggs yesterday and 18 today! GOOD GIRLS!!!
