good morning,
we definitely have enough snow to make it worth getting Ollie fired up..
I was supposed to start my new job today.. the man called me and said it would be OK to start tomorrow.. that takes a lot of pressure off of me.. Now I can do a decent job of plowing..
JJ, do we know what guy ??
I didn't know if my turner was working on auto,, so I turned it manually,, 2 minutes later it turned with auto,, so life is good..
hum is holding at 40% and temp is a steady 99F.. my thermometer does not indicate fractions/decimals ..
I had bator #3 fired up for awhile yesterday.. I did not have to tweak it at all.. Now all I have to do is clean it up and have it ready for goose eggs or what ever comes next..
I feel like having pancakes today..
I did have some water run into the hen house door, but the litter on the floor is so thick, it did not get messy in there.. I have a bottom layer of wood chips that keeps the moisture on the floor.. very good drainage.. I get my wood chips from Asplundh when they are trimming trees for the power lines.. they are always looking for a place to dump chips close by to where they are working.. all you have to do is stop and offer them a place to back their truck in.. make sure there are no overhead power lines .. a pile of chips will last for a couple of years without rotting away.. and when it does rot, it makes good mulch for the garden..
I spread a load along the drop-off along my driveway.. I let the grass grow, and now I have a gentle slope that I can mow..
Denise, good idea about the orange box.. I wonder how long it will run a bator.. why don't you give it a test run and let us all know ??
