I think we should think about having some B Y C hats made for all the wisc chatters. then when you go to a swapmeet you could easily I D each other, maybe even meet a chatter you didnt even know would be there. just a thought. I m full of Ideas,,,, some really good,,,,,, some destine to fail

I really enjoy the swapmeets,,, you always meet nice people and there is always something to be learned. If any one goes to beaverdam swap, dress warm most of it is outside. I plan on going, wish I could meet a few of you, gotta go

Quote: ok good to know. The coop faces East, but is only about 1/3 of the way down the barn. Meaning the barn extends quite a ways east yet from what you can see i the picture. He is fuzzy as a bear, and so cute, but I have been adding straw all winter just to be sure they are more comfortable.

Quote: That's a good idea. I am hoping to clean out the shed that the farm truck goes in and use it as a stable with a door cut out so they can go out and pasture, but not sure my FIL will go for it. He is so small that he would fit in a calf hutch, so I was thinking of buying the larger hutch that can hold 2 calves and use that as a shelter inside an electric fence.

Chickenscratch, have you tried switching to a grain free cat food? I have a cat that has allergies to grain - I have her on Evo (dry and canned) and she is doing great. I did have her on Solid Gold Indigo Moon for a while too and she did ok on that. Making the cat food myself would be even better for her, but I don't have the motivation to do that. You have to grind the meat and make sure you include the bones. The recipes I found recommend chicken thighs. Cats aren't supposed to eat as of wide a range of food as dogs. If I set some corn down for my dog he would eat it. My cat would look at me like I was nuts. So why is it in cat food? Because it's a cheap way to up the protein content, even though its not benefiting the cat in a positive way. I would never feed any grocery store or Walmart brand of cat food (or dog food). I'm not saying you do, I'm just putting that out there for everybody. Your cat could be allergic to chicken or even fish. Or maybe it's not a food allergy at all, could be environmental.

Exactly this CS. I have been researching cat food since I need to pump as many calories into mine as I possibly can. Cats do not need to eat a lot of veggies and they REQUIRE taurine to be added to whatever food they consume (missing in dog food) if they do not get enough taurine they will go blind.

Good luck!

Good evening! Yes Zeke some of us know each other! Way back in 2010 when I first found this site I asked if anyone got together. A few folks said they had to do trades and stuff...then the Bigzio Bash was born! (the link for this spring's bash is in my siggy) I think it is the 4th annual one! We have a really good time together! Check it out!
I too am heading to the BD swap. We are planning on leaving my house at 5:30. That should get us to the gate at opening time. Nothing much I am looking for; maybe a few button quail--I kind of miss them. We did have a little meet up last year. (or maybe it was the year before?) That is when I met Twain and MustLoveHens. It is funny when you are there...since most are from WI you would think that EVERYONE there would be on here! LOL!
I will have my Carhart jacket on and a bright orange hat...I will look for curly red hair....and?

Baby goats are continuing to do well. I will try for pictures tomorrow. I must have shagged those geese off the road at least 15 times today! Tomorrow I think I will lock them in the dooryard if I can find something to block the gate that is frozen. I am heading to Madison at 9 and really dont want a ticket! If the goslings werent so profitable for me I would dump the whole flock! They cause me so much grief! I finally got an egg from the barred rock pen today!

Maybe they will start to produce now. The woman that I got them from says that hers are all laying well even after her move. They must not like the roo I put them with I guess.

Those Blue Ams laid for a short time in January and I have not seen a blue egg since! Lazy bums! I guess my OE's will be made from my wheaton and the NN I have that lays blue eggs! At least those girls are in production! (Or maybe I should just buy the chicks from Dan or BigFam?)

Nice hat New Joe! I wanted to see you modeling it though! It remided me of when my son put my saddle cover on his head...the legs of it looked just like the ear flaps on your daughter! I am going to see if I can find that pic...BRB! Oh well, couldnt find it! Darn...it is a great picture.

I am very tired...but my house looks much better...smells better too! LOL! I am headed to bed. Sweet dreams everyone! TerriOdroopyeyed

If I can get up early enough (and the roads are OK), I plan to be there. (Should we all wear a gardenia in our lapels so we will know each other?

) I'll be wearing a patchwork jacket from Guatemala.
