Judge,, I had to re read your post.. is your FIL really short enough to fit into a calf hutch ? WOW !!

TerriO, it has been at least 2 years since I was at BD,, we met at "the sign",, I will not go to BD again.. it is too far for me..

I do like to go to the BASH though.. I will keep trying to make it as long as it is at the church camp..

I have 5 more guinea eggs for the bator,, and 2 goose eggs..

I will not set any more until maybe friday or this weekend.. I want to try to keep about a week between hatches.. I have orders for 35 keets from C List..

Annie found a bator base in the garage.. I forgot it was there.. the chickens have it about half pecked away..

CC, he has good days and bad days. Still giving him fluids SC as much as I can, he pulled out his feeding tube so he has been given a chance to feed himself. I have had issues getting the pancreatic enzymes into him since I am no longer feeding him through the tube, so the vet has shown me how to force feed him.... and of course the cat has issues with that! Giving him everything we can now. The vet is going to keep him on Thursday and see how he is, there is a possibility he might have to get the tube put back in again. On a positive note, he does make his way around the house and he will act interested in the laser pointer so he still has some quality of life. I am not going to give up on him yet.

Started a kickboxing class...... and it is kicking my butt. Sore, sore, sore, sore...... but good too. I know what I need to work on now!

Well, it's been a long day and a longer night! One of the guineas decided to go out at closing time! I left the door open a couple of hours but don't know if he went back in. Made Salmon with noodles and broccoli in Alfredo sauce.... it was soooooo good! And I didn't scorch the sauce! yha me! De-wormed all 5 cats and the dog... that was fun...NOT! Did the usual chores, came to check here and heard young son barfing! Yep, he's got the flue! About 2:30 DH got up to pee and let the dog out.... I went to let him in and noticed he was "foaming" (oh sh!t) sure enough as soon as I cracked the door I knew.... He got SKUNKED! Tried the peroxide, baking soda and Dawn solution.... seemed to work better than tomato juice. He was a good boy though.... defended the flock! I hope.... haven't been out there yet.

Good thing I shut the door.

Oh well, tired.... Night All!

good morning,
I had a call this morning from a guy who wants 20 pullets.. He prefers Buff Orpingtons..
I am fresh outta BO's.. anybody got some eggs for me ?seriously ..

I found out that I am out of shape.. the front of my thieghs are really sore today.. too many bends and squats yesterday..

Yeah, Gramma is really coming up with plenty of excuses to hang around just a little bit longer..
She always had a strange connection with the after world.. She always said she was not afraid to die.. I am half expecting a midnight visit.. I can do without that..

I can cope with the snow,, this sub zero temp is getting to me.. I am not wishing for hot,, just moderation..

I have to get my Blazer to Dick to have the muffler put back on.. It fell off a few weeks ago.. DD#1 said she won't ride with me anymore if I don't get it fixed..

I think I am going to fire up bator #3 .. I want to keep the goose eggs separate from chickens and guineas.. geese take a high hum% .. I think I will do the turkeys with the high hum% also.

the bator #1 is using up about 1/2 inch of water per day.. I have a 9 inch x 12 inch pan in there..
I figure about a quart ?

don't forget about those BO eggs..
