Oh... where you getting those heritage BR from?? I've been eyeing some up on the swap but haven't claimed any yet.


Warty McMuffin here.... sad to not be eating boiled pork and cabbage today or potato pancakes. My family doesn't share my taste for Irish food.

We moved the NYE chicks into one of the coops with the big girls yesterday. I'm surprised that one of the youn blue Orp roos seems to have taken the dominant position.

Happy St Paddie's day to all! The corned beef is reheating in the slow cooker. As soon as it is warm I will see if it has cooked enough. Then if it is done I will add the veggies. MMMM! I can hardly wait.

CC the bird hand-off went well. We ended up parking at opposite ends of the fairgrounds so I drove Irish, the bird and myself to her car. It was FREAKIN' cold! OMG--I wish I would have worn my overalls or at least lined pants. My legs are still chilly and I have been in the house now for a half hour. It always seems to be either freezing cold or raining for that swap. I saw a nice pair of Light Brahmas I would have liked. Didnt want to lug them around though, $40. I caught a red gold pheasant that escaped and returned it to the owner. I bought a broken black lop eared rabbit to replace the one we lost that was in the coop. I wonder if DD will realize that it's not the same rabbit?

There was lots to look at there...many of the birds looked pretty beaten down as usual.

Oh man, my eyes are drooping, I think I am heading up to take a nap!
