I had a date with one of my lav roos too, Eileen. I am now every inch as blue as he is.

Stupid chickens..........

Went back after dark and set him up to roost with the ladies. No drama. Mama is happy!

Morning all........
Cold windy, nasty January day OOps I mean March...............yuck what some crap, I about froze my fingers off doing frozen waters this morning seeing as how my stupid heater bird water decided to die in mid January....even the dogs outside heated bowl had a film of ice over where the wind hits it....argggggggg so much for spring coming early this year !!! seems to me last spring was cold then hot then crappy then super hot....hope this isn't a remake......cuz winter needs to be over I have things to do outside !!!!!!!!! I'm quite sick of inside, and it needs to be over 30 for me to clean my coop and right now we are looking at a mess in there...........GGGGGrrrrrrrr

Best of luck and great things to BigFam, and Halden, hope they get everything just right ...sounds like they are doing a good job at planning things out, much better to always have a plan then to wing it....

Cind........ hope your Turkeys are doing better soon, it really isn't a hurry I have to build them a coop anyway, but thought I would ask around before hand so by the time I need them I know who has them......so pipe up if ya have Midget whites...........about my boarders yes they do help, but these are my projects and Jeff The Hubby works at Miller and works quite abit he has been doing all the overtime he can get so they can get caught up, plus Ann has 2 little ones she chases all day and isn't so handy with much else, though she is masking chili today will see how it turns out. I'm making Pumpkin cookies, and crab and ranch dip for veggi's, crackers and snacks for tonight. Gonna have a movie night I think. Its too darn cold to do much else.......

TerriO........... that deer roper is hilarious, sent it to Adam right away so he could get a good laugh too.......... the pic. of the swap meet looks like you all were a bit cold.........but nice to see faces so I know who I'm yacking at........LOL remeber a couple from the baqsh last year but we didn't get to meet everyone, maybe this year........

So has anyone used the brinsea Octagon 20, I'm thinking it will be very similar to the little mini I had but wondering if anyone had any trouble with theirs ,so I know what to watch out for......the little one had ya add water right away, and some people say not too until day 15? but mine most hatched last year with little trouble, but what a stinky wet mess to clean up after, and the humidity was so dewy they took forever to dry off.......so will see I guess, Wish it would get here so I can start collecting eggs, and wish mother nature would having these little fits.........and warm up, so I can seperate my roos to the outside pens.
So anyway I better get to making stuff to do for today.........later all.....Kim

Midgets! We loves our midgets! They are awesome and sweet. Just the most curious little buggers around.

All my incubators are Brinsea. I don't add water until lockdown and have great hatches even with shipped eggs. I have two octo 20s, and octo 48 and an ova easy 380. Love them.

Oh and Bigz... I just imagined you in Daisy Dukes. Thanks for the visual! You're wearing them at the Bash right? I need a picture of that.

Now if we could get Jim to slip on a pair of Daisy Dukes with his socks and sandals, it'll be a party!!!

I saw this and just had to bring it here!

Punxsutawney Phil, the King of the Groundhogs was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after predicting an early spring!

LOL! They are sweet turkeys. Almost too sweet! Make nice pets! They don't seem to eat much either!

I wish the weather would get better so I could move those poor birds around into better, more skunk resistant pens. Looks like she lost a couple of eggs again.

Guess that's it.... night!

Good morning all..

I get to have visitors today

I am finishing the last details on the Sarkku..made some wonderful brandy punch slush that is setting, and covered the strawberries in dark chocolate. Everything should be ready for lunch time. The house smells like boiled kale right now...I might have a few minutes to remove about a half inch of dust before they get here.

Have a great day!

Not feeling very spring-like outside today!

Good frigid morning! Everything is frozen here once again...I think the breaker popped during the night. I am in warming up with a cuppa and then back out. I might give Cheryl a call and tell her I might be a little late! BRRR is all I can say!
Cute ground hog pic...I wonder how they got him to lay down like that? LOL!

You guys stop talking about those little turkeys! I might have to get some. They sound adorable. Do the Toms gobble like the big ones do but in a squeakier voice?

H&R just called--or course she is running perfectly on time! LOL! We pushed our meeting time back to 9:30 to head to Vicky's. Guess I have to stop getting warm and head back out and see if anything is better.

Have a good one! TerriOgladforthealpacawollsockstoday
