yes they are! when DS(11) had his cochin bantams they ruled the pen and would go toe to toe with any of the LF chickens. The LF chickens would give way to the bantams.Here I go with another ost that will never be read, CC..
Banties are real scrappers.. I don't think you will have a problem with them being pick on by larger chickens..
I have given chicks to hens that have not hatched their eggs.. not only do they not know how to count, they have no realization of time either..
