Hi Again, I just talked to a guinea keet customer,, he was at the swap this AM looking for a bronze turkey tom.. no luck,, said it was mostly rabbits.. He is from Waupaca..

anybody got a bronze turkey they want to get rid of for about $20 - $25 ??

I got home just in time to see the first chick of the year kick off his shell.. I didn't even know there were pips .. I was putting a damp towel into the bator when I heard him chirp.. the hum% was only 25% at the time.. still had no trouble hatching.. hum% is 55% right now..

picked up 6 treated 2x4's from Menard's.. still raining too hard to work outside.
the snow is really taking a beating,, and talk about standing water !! so far none has made it into the basement..

I have to send out some plucker pictures to the guy in waupaca..

Dave, contact me today,, the guy with the eggs might have some BO feathered out chicks available.. he has about a hundred of them, but somebody said they were coming to get them,, but you know how that goes.. let me know asap so I can contact him.. He is from LaCrosse but hi is going to Plover for Easter..
IDK when he is leaving home..

Rainy Easter Eve To Everyone......Thanks for checking in with us Doc. We all miss you, and worry you know!

I was planning on grilling tonight, but the rain changed our plans. suzie did a great job with the venzun loins and raw shrimp..the fresh ho-made buns were perfect.

Tough about the hatch judge...as you've heard it happens sometimes...better results next time for sure!

Tables are ready at church. The 4:30am rise will test my ability to stay awake later in the day. Naps are ok....they do the body good.

I ordered a new pair of mudsox from rocky boots...love them. self cleaning lug soles...got them on sale, plus free shipping ( 3 days) and 20% off...the tops roll down for easy on and off, and comortable too.
they arrived just in time for regular use.

Congrats on the good hatches!

WOW what a nice hatch. congrats. Do you sell eggs for hatching? I ve noticed several of you have swap pages at the bottom of your posts. what does this refer to.Also a person or two refered to auctions, were was this info at, was it b y c? I m familier with E=Bay, is there a wisc. auction, swap page somewhere? Does anyone have midget white turkey eggs or chicks. thanx zekewhatchingbasketball

Well I am still on borrowed internets, I am at Denny's tonight after having had pancakes...
I am sure KristiP mentioned it, but if she didn't I called her to ask how many of her Easter Hatch had come out as of today.
We started with 48/9 she had gotten eggs from EVERYONE!!! WOWOW

After 1 week 9 were lost, after 2 weeks another 4 or 5,

and as of my call to her this afternoon there were 23 that had hatched and another 2 or 3 that had pipped.
1 silkie egg (from her birds at my place) under her broodie hen, it was incubated until a few days ago...

I have one of her silkies that went broody at my place with a boatload of eggs under her, the other hens go in and lay eggs near her and I think she is just gathering them all up!!!
