I took some pictures of the chicks, but I have to wait for my computer to update itself so that I can download them. iPhoto says so! Current download time is 6 hours

I'm glad to hear it. It was probably all the new changes that had them rattled. They sure can stress you out with those distressful cries, can't they? I went to bed at 9 last night.CC-Yes, they've calmed down. They are choosing to sleep a lot

Ok, Cheeseheads! I need suggestions for year round privacy ideas. I'd prefer to plant something along our fence (which is mostly shade) to act as a privacy fence. I do not want it to prevent growth to garden (edible) plants or be poisonous. The boxwood would only increase boxwood beetles, so it is not an option. Bamboo is horribly invasive, out! Cedar is poisonous to the ground preventing plants to grow, out! Any other ideas?
A vine of some sort, like grapes , blackberries, trumpet vine ect. As a kid we had grape vines running down our chain link fence.Did anyone go to the poultry/small animal swap this morning in Ellsworth? I tried to make it, but I really wanted to sleep in this morning, and in reality I didn't need to buy or sell anything (plus I don't have any bloodwork on my birds). Just wanted to go to be social and look about, but couldn't parlay that into a reason to get up at 6:30 this morning!
If my chicks arrive..that sounds perfect..they are due the last day of this month to hatch..so as long as the hatch goes well it should be perfect!!FT will you be in town the weekend before or after that week here in Racine? I was thinking of May 18 as the day to suggest for Delisha's hen party. Is that good for you Del? FT?
hard wire..air vents..Oh my gosh it's snowing still. My chickies are all nice and warm though, but mad they can't go outside. My plans failed me, well my friend failed me. He now want 20 chickens!!! and he wants it to be at least 64 sq. ft. Just have to make some minor changes. Getting a supply list started: shingles (free, dad is carpenter), wood-small stuff free (dad work) , big wood dad can get what I don't get at habitat for humanity. Don't need windows(have already) screen (have), latches and other tiny things will have to be bought. Most of my expensises will be from wood and latches and thins of that sort. No run, they will free range they said, Big thing off my mind. Hoping this covers it all, if I miss anything important please comment. Always want to impress a friend and his family!![]()

"something along our fence to act as a privacy fence"? If it is mostly shade already, I take it the fence isn't chainlink, or it has trees around it?Ok, Cheeseheads!
