Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

We get square bales for free. The neighbor does square bales in our fields and we get all that we need, well a lot more than we need. But the extra is good. We make hay-forts

Luckie Duckie!!!

Well I candled the eggs under the silkies........ Not a single chicken egg is fertile BUT one duck egg is lol. Oh and now there is only 5 eggs in the box , and no clue where the others went or how in the world a duck egg got in the box considering Po ( my duck) lays in only one spot everyday and its not near the box. Oh and one of my female mallards hasnt come home since yestarday. I think she has a nest cause she keeps disapearing in the brush piles during the day for a while now. So looks like I'll have no shortage on ducklings this year lol.

Yes, I kinda do. I'm sure you'll get alot of offers for replacement roos, though.

] feeling better today [still stink though]

I am so upset with my credit card company. I scheduled a payment with them about a month ago for 4/13. I did a big feed purchase recently so I cancelled that payment and scheduled a smaller one. They put both of them through! My bank account is now $150 in the negative and that includes 2 overdraft fees. I emailed Bank of America and they said they can't do anything about the NSF fees but they can give me the one (cancelled) payment back in 15-30 days!!!!!!!! That's real helpful. I guess I'm done using that card. Now I have to convince my bank that it wasn't my fault and see if they will at least waive one of the NSF fees. How stressful.

I suppose the little rat has grown on me lol. I call her the ankle biter! Tho luckily she is nothing like I imagined little dogs. Shes actually the only one that properly puts my bully x pup in his place. Theres something to be said for being female! ;-)
They feed the dogs almost every day. My daughter is very good at picking up poo. My son is still learning at 3. Im all about...if you want it, your responsible for it! Hubby n I just had a "heated discussion" the other night. He thinks I make the kiddos do too many chores! We have a lot of nice thing (animals) for them. I think it shou ld just be expected...
I want to give them everything I wanted growing up, and then some. Plus its a perk that I get to have them too lol.
Hopefully someday I can afford to get them a horse or two... hubby IS NOT sold on that one yet! Lol his ex used to show them. He does not like them :-( ill win eventually...

Tell your hubby responsibility is what children need to learn and grow, this generation now wants everything for free and everyone else to the work, its a sad thing that kids these days know nothing about anything except video games, They are never made to do a darn thing, and everything is expected to be handed over right NOW!!! What children need is to learn to be self sufficient, and not depend on anyone for anything they can easily do themselves.......Kim

Good rainy evening all!
Just sitting at the bottom of the steps waiting(because it is just a matter of time) for DS3 to come out of his room. I have put him back 2x so far in the last 15min, but I know he hasn't given up yet. Both times he says to me, "no Mom! You 'posed be in the kitchen!". Soo very stressful. This has been going on for almost a year. Last night was 10pm, sometimes its 11:30pm. Nothing seems to work. Ugh...can't wait for him to grow out of it.
Let the dog out today and the little brat chased my poor chickens all over the place. Luckily he didn't catch any, but they probably won't lay for month after that. Dumb dog.
Good job on the chicks Colton. Can't wait to see pics.
Cute chick pics everyone, and cute kiddos Cuties!
So sorry to hear about the hay troubles. I can't imagine how that must feel....
Well- I think I am going to move away from my stoop now and pray that he is settled down for the night, although I am not going to hold my breath. *sigh*

I too hope the hay gougers get stuck with it!

CONGRATS on the hatch Colton!

My daughter, in spite of my best efforts, continues to be a instant gratification type with limited responsibility. Now she is 21 and pregnant with no job *face palm*
My son on the other hand is in the Air Force and doing fantastic. He loves it and is very grown up. He is 18.

I candled the first 9 Langshan eggs at day 7 and there was 1 clear and 8 developing!! I set 10 more yesterday. I am collecting for sale or trade over the next week. Got two today, and shoul have another 10-14 by next Friday when I get back from my business trip. DH will gather them while im gone. If your interested please let me know!
