OK Delsih-you have me stressing now! They sold these as sexed pullets-better not be any males in there!!!

I am no help on the other breeds, but... I have had blue cochin chickies a few times and what I have noticed is the tails. The girls get tail feathers sooner and the boys look tailless much longer maybe 8 days longer.

If you are waiting on cochins to Crow or lay eggs, you will be waiting a long time. I had a blue roo that did not crow until he was like 11 months, maybe because of the other roos sounding off around him, but for sure he was full grown.

Off to take the youngest DD to the Oral Surgeon. That one eye tooth never came down like they wanted so it is now time for them to go in and get it. Poor baby! At least they are giving her Nitrous so she should not remember a thing.

After working 6 days last week I am looking forward to my time off.

Good morning...I have to go and get hay today. My back hurts like crazy! I ran a scan on my computer and it said all was fine but it is typing weird now and bringing up odd things every time I type the word t h e.
Turning it off now before I throw it against the wall.....

Yep turning it off for a while might solve the problem. That's why I had two posts to tell my story yesterday.. Dang computer every time I tried to type another word another window would pop up. Finally the whole thing froze up. Had to reboot..

Sure hope BYC doesn't have any worms or virus's we are picking up. A few years ago I think there were ???

The virus I had was detected by my anti-virus software, but it was unable to remove it. I had to upload several other repair programs to remove it completely. It is fixed now.

So right now I am rotting away at the Oral Surgeon...... Bored......

I reported to the court house this AM for jury duty, along with about 50 other people. Good odds, I thought, until they called my name to go sit in the jury box with half the original pool. It is a case of a dairy farmer vs a co-op and, since my hubs was a dairy farmer in another life and we're buying feed for chickens now, I knew one side would want to keep me and the other side would want to let me go home. As you can probably guess, I'm at home sitting in front of the computer so I wasn't chosen. It would have been an interesting trial but it promises to be a long one with lots of technical/medical testimony.

Danny Boy and the girls were happy to see me so I don't feel too rejected!

Afternoon everyone. Boy is it gloomy out. A friend brought me over a huge box so I can move the chicks to a bigger brooder. Sheesh with this weather it going to be while before I can get them outside. I had to move the goslings to the previous chick brooder since it is bigger than the tote they were in. I still have 3 ducks in my tub lol and went into lockdown this morning with more duck eggs. I candled last night one last time and I obviously have no clue what I'm looking at. When I candled on day 10, 12 out of 13 eggs had execellent veins and little bodies inside. Well last night I only seen movement in a couple . Most just looked blobby. I didnt see any blood rings though so I left all the eggs in. I guess it will be a surprise .
