Just got my very first chicks here in kewaunee!

One batch of Goat Milk Coffee soap done! I had stored all of my supplies and spent most of the day tracking them down! We will see how well the commercial goat milk makes soap...... I was thinking I would make a chocolate swirl batch, the cinnamon spice, I will try to make some 'Riciola' and a batch of the Lav of course! I need more Citrus soap too, and the oldest DD has put in for an order of Honey Almond Oatmeal.....



Yes internet service is back up, I have no idea what happened but apparently a good portion of the country with my ISP has issues.....

Not feeling too badly from kickboxing last night, I know after tonight I am going to be SUPER tired tomorrow......... I will not be able to sleep in until 7...

Making Short Ribs in the Slow Cooker for dinner tonight...... I hope they turn out..... and no I did not put them in there with Kraut.

Can't wait to smell them!!

2 chicks out and 4 pips as of this afternoon at school. I really like watching how excited the 4 year olds get about the payoff of baby chicks for all their effort of keeping track of the 21 days since we set them in the classroom.

and where else does anyone say to me: "Mrs. John Mrs. John did you see that the one pooped?"

What an afternoon! The quail are hatching! I had to get something ready for them cause I really didnt think any would hatch. I have 7 so far and another working at it now. These are the Coturnix, the others are due on Thursday I believe. The kids and I got everything ready--finally; and all is dog and cat proof! We waited to bring them up until after DH and the big kids left for softball!

I just didnt feel like a fight tonight about more birds in the house! (shut up Vicky!)

This is exactly what I though Apyl! I didnt realize that the leg was GONE! After I enlarged the pic I could see it plain as day! (yeah Jim I know, "as usual, click to enlarge") By the time I thought about it I was 5 pages past and didnt feel like going back!

Oh yes. I AM a good egg. And I'm not going to talk about any tongue in my cheek Jim! I am a lady afterall.

So you guys should see the great Shiner I have! I had a bit of a run in with a "horse"...yeah that is a lie and that is all I am going to say about it! I am going to take a pic and see if I can do it.
