Evening To Everyone...sorry for not answering your question about the 8N Jim. I'm like you, and when i get done reading I forget what I'm gonna say...anyway... it's just a simple won't start..prolly points or something like coil. it has a trip bucket that has been off for years...thinkin the seals in the rams are shot..it only has a rear pump with a shut off valve..mickey mouse, and why the bucket is resting in the woods. Be nice to have er running for sure.

I have a batch of Ameracauna from Smith and more BLRW. You girls must have gotten all the pullets because all that were left were three pullets (pet quality). I am bringing them to the bash if anyone is looking for pretty egg layers. I have a ton of beautiful males too. I am meating out the males that are not breeder quality. Next week I will be butchering out and smoking chicken for the camp out. I hauled out the tent. I think I got rid of the sleeping bags. I went looking on craigs list. Still looking.

I need to take pictures of the new chicks. Chick are so cute.

JustJohn - I was looking for adult birds right away. Thanks for posting that, but that's too far away for me. Delevan is quite a jaunt, I'm on the opposite side of Reedsburg from it. I was thinking about going to an auction to pick up a few, but now everyone has me nervous about it so I probably won't.


Delisha - If you have 3 pet quality pretty girls I'm game if no one else wants them. I have 3 amerecauna mixes but they're straight run and if they're boys I do NOT want them, so I will be getting rid of them. Or I may just keep one to breed to the girls and I want 1 or 2 marans for the dark eggs and have heard if you breed easter eggers to darker eggers then you can get the olive eggers. So That's what I'm hoping to do. These guys are for eggs only, so I don't care of they mix breed. But there are certain ones I don't want to mix.

ShopKo has some SUPER nice sleeping bags and I think they're mostly $25-40 range. That's what I got my kids for Xmas, a brand new NICE sleeping bag and their own camping chair.

I have several POL orp crosses too. I am bringing all of my pullets to the bash and all of my available chicks too. I am hoping to have a dozen Imported English chicks hatched to bring also. Some are not due to hatch till the day before. I only set a bakers dozen. I will bring some meat birds for you if you like. I have done a project paint Orp breeding. They will be pretty, large and tasty.

I really do want to come. I just need the guy to tell me if he's taking my shift or not. He is notorious for taking shifts and then not showing up, but once I get my name crossed out and his on the schedule it's not my problem. I'm 80% sure he'll say yes. Oh, and the sleeping bags weren't being offered up, I was just saying where I got mine from. And they were only like $5. If I come, I am staying Friday and Saturday night. I'm not driving all that way for one night. I think I'll bring the truck so I can bring our bikes along too.

.del, I cant believe you got more lol how can you already tell they are not quality? The last batch of blrw I got one with a very crooked comb and waddle :-( she will be joining the egg layer bunch of chickies. My fav seems to be a roo. Hes getting just a little pink already, and has quite the point on the back of the comb.

I gave them a bunch of dandelion I pulled from the flowers tonight. They found a worm, and I tell ya, those slw are feisty! !! The big ones just could not catch them lolol
