You can get it really cheap at TS. Works even better than save a chick for restoring them after stress, dehydration, shock. That is the one time I can offer an experienced personal opinion on chicken care. Would never have been able to restore my rescued hens or one of my chicks without it!!!!!

THANKS!! Don't have a TS near us but I did get saveachick at FF (they were out of sulmen)

Man o man am I tired! I got a call from DS last night and I was so sound asleep I said who is this? Lol I'm just wiped right out. As soon as the washer is done I'll b in bed lol kids must b extra tired too no complaints about going to bed. Yay!
Nothing new around here, it rained all day :( Guess I better run outside quick and check critters before it gets to dark. Later all

Rainy Day here to all....no luck getting the 3rd garden in yet...dang!

Yep, the buckets were shared....I ended up with 7...remember to say please and thank-you and then pass it on! LOL I really needed them too...Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the nest box delish..it found a good home.

Yep, the schedule at bash varies some...it rained, food wasen't ready....and we really can't wait for folks that said they were coming...the ones that are there, and want to get on the road home at a reasonable time need the consideration over others. Quite a few folks said they were coming, that never showed...we would still be waiting! It takes prolly 3 hours for the the white e and the raffle. It is a full afternoon of bash at it's best. just sayin

Ok, if you really don't want them angie...it's getting tossed....hope you have a back-up bot!

Welcome to the forum Mike.

bbp...yep 4 weeks will provide a just right size for the supper table...get er done!

Great comment Jim....JJ send me your addy for when I need a whisperer.

Sure hope we can have the wine tasting next year....maybe Ross can come alone since bl4 already knows she can't make the bash...you wear the pants don't you Ross?

Good evening everyone! I think I am nearly recovered from the bash...gotta come home to rest after that time.
Looked like it was going to rain all day but we only had very minor sprinkles...got a load of laundry dried on the line and lots of gardening accomplished! Mine is not yet totally planted but it is early yet. Then I took the kids over to the kids' garden in town and we worked there for an hour and a half...that garden is shaping up well!

I didnt find any more baby ducks today...but two more turkeys hatched. I set a bunch of cot eggs--thinking I will have to do a great butchering of them soon. We ate a couple a few months back and they were very good. I wish I could find an outlet for my eggs! They really are great layers!

Well I guess I will go off and look at some other stuff...Sorry about Taz DrH; hope your vacation is going well BL4; and yes bigFam, I am accusing you of causing trouble! LOL!

Good night all...sweet dreams too! TerriOthinkingabouthittingthehayearly

I am starting to sense some skepticism about my being a deity

I do small 25-30 birds spring (fryers) & fall (broasters & canners ).

Brooder ( part of my coop ) for 2 weeks ( max.), then coop that has a large run ( for foraging ).

I Keep the ff simple. Start with one 2.5g pail when they are chicks ( ff from day1 ), As the feed demand grows I will eventually have (2) 5 gal. pails fermenting so I can keep it for at least 48 hours. I start my ferment with acv ( works for me & the meaties ). Once started, I'll add water & acv when needed

To long of a day working in the rain for me 2 do math on 150 birds. I know there is a very long thread in the meat bird forums ( started by bee ),
not sure on current postings ( have not read )...but go through a few of the early postings.

always experimenting next batch will be ff... but I'll add ______?? for the last 2 weeks to fatten them.
