Not going to comment much, even though I wanted to. Lots of good advice given today.

Been a real crappy day around here. I am now officially bunnieless for the first time in 24+ years. Rather depressing............. And no, cooties, I am not interested in getting any more at this time. But thank you for the generous offer. It is very much appreciated.

Sweet dreams, all.

ok, got the call from my docs office. geez they said i have upper respitory resistance syndrome.....can be the reason for my fatigue but i couldnt find anything online saying it would cause shortness of breath during the day or my cough with phelm....sorry that sounds gross...
nurse said my doctor never heard of it himself!!! i was told ponce that i never do anything by the book.....guess not.
they wanted me to see pulm doc in milw....i said ill go to ets pulm that treated him for his sarcoidosis in his lungs.
wonder if the radiation i had could have done something? or having birds for 20 years and now chickens??? dont think they put 2 n 2 together sometimes!
said i need a cpap but i dont have apnea!!!
fgs cant anything i do ever be easy...lol
im on my phone typing with my thumbs so forgive my mistakes!!!
anyone ever heard of this?

Typing on the kindle so I apologize for errors now...
posted last night while DH was playing wig the boys at Tocinos (pizza) but it didn't go through.:( after so many pages I'm sorry I cant comment again on things. :( I'm taking my phone in tomorrow to get fixed
FT - I'm surprised there's no info on this. Are u using a nebulizer or inhaler to help with the phlegm? Does a cough suppressant /expectorant help? How long has it been going on? I'm wondering how it's different than COPD?

New news here... my chicks all jumped out of the pool today so I took it out of the coop so now they have free range in the coop! They are loving it. :D My baby gate run is working awesome and everyone (finally) is going in and out all day. I find it hilarious that they really are 'chicken ' of new things! After. I opened the run door, the 2older girls would just eyeball it! After a couple days I started shooing them out but their visit was always short lived. I would have thought they'd want to be out. I'm happy to see them out now though. I'll be working on dog training now and will wait until the younguns are of more substantial size so hey don't look so 'fun ' and are hopefully intimidating to the cat. I think I'll be keeping a spray bottle with me at all times for him when the time does come to let them loose.

Oh yeah, thanks Unkadan for the suggestion on the hoe! I think I saw that a month or so ago but don't remember where (mother earth news or countryside? Maybe?) I forgot all about it till now. :D thankyou thankyou!

I am now getting the notice that someone posted, so I figured I could also send photos.. Not happening.. I sent a whole bunch of them to c list last night, just because I could.. updated all of my ads..

I got all the chores done before it got dark.. even moved the Farmal A with the big trailer attached.

I have a couple of eggs that need help.. I will give them until tomorrow morning.. I suspect they will die.. late hatchers usually have something wrong with them..

I really wore myself out today.. I think I will let the dishes go until morning.. yeah, that's if,, I will let them soak.. I don't like using the dishwasher..

I was going to mention about the dirty incubators.. most chicken catalogs have a disinfectant made just for that .. I have a bottle of it around here,, unopened,, somewhere..

that Hova bator did not have a turner with it for $119.oo, did it ? you can add another $40.oo or so to the price.. I just want to caution you about those turners.. there is a crank arm on the end of it that breaks off very easily.. I have had them come broken in the box from the supplier.. new trays cost about $7.oo.. I repaired a couple of them, but it is not an easy process..

Lots of folks around here are complaining about how bad the ticks are but, until today, I haven't seen any. The chickens are doing a good job keeping them at bay. Well, tonight I was mowing with the little tractor back by the garden while the hubs was disking with the big tractor and I had to duck under several trees. When I got home to clean up I found a little deer tick in my head - must have jumped down on me from the trees. Dang! I was hoping I'd get lucky and not have any to pull out this year. The hubs got it out almost completely intact and I have my regular doctor's appointment for a check up on Wednesday morning so it's all good. I'm just gonna be scratching my head all night.

Wednesday the garden should be ready for planting! YAY!! Maybe I'll get something to ripen before the frost hits in the fall!

Hope you all have a really good night!

good evening folks,

near purrrfect summer day in the north country,,,,,,would have been great day for fishing!

Jim and every other gardener that is fearing the weeding this summer, if you haven't already discovered the "stirrup hoe" I suggest you make the investment. I have used these for many years and still am amazed at how few gardeners are aware of them. This is the time of year they really work well, (when weeds are small and just starting) if you get on them now and keep up you will be ahead of the game all summer. Around $20 at Ace or FF, even seen them at walmart and other box stores.

simple shuffel it back and forth just keeping the blade under the soil surface, clips off the weed at the root and still scuffs the soil surface providing aeration. Even as old and worn out as I am I can do a 100' row in a very few minutes.

OM (organic matter) breaks up that clay, takes a few years but well worth the effort. Hardwood leaves applied in the fall and tilled in b4 a rye cover crop really help. Also a liberal application of gypsum aids tilth.

Good evening all !
Well, got most of my tomatoes in the ground today... I just have to start getting up earlier... or at least getting up and about. Thought I would get more done but decided to make a makeshift pen for the older ducks... first night outside in a dog house. Glad they knew enought to go in it or I'd be sleeping outside wondering how they are. Still have ducks in the house but as each batch gets older out they'll go.

Funny how Unk has brought up hoe's and chicks in one day..... Hmmmmm !

Think if ET ever turns off the TV I"m going to have him hook me up to his Cpap machine. Found a brand new Star Trek mask and hose. Just need to find the headband. Don't want to use a bungie or rubber band !!!! LOL That could hurt someone if it went flying.
My sister has a cpap and it just goes in her nose like those oxygen plugs or something. She did say it comes out a lot so I'll see what they offer me.

Judge, when you got your mini did they say he was broke to ride? My trainer doesn't like to take on ponies since an adult can't ride them they are hard to train and get away with a lot of bull. I would like to take my little paint pony to the amish and see if he is broke like they told me he was. First I want to try on a harness and see if he was broke to drive. Supposedly he was amish broke to begin with but ????? I would never forgive myself if I put Addie on him and he bolted or bucked her off. I know my POA is broke to drive... by a young girls so she is green broke but I did drive her when I went to get her. When I asked her to back up the woman in the cart with me said "she didn't know if she taught her that " Now you tell me ??? LOL Geez
Guess the POA like to buck riders off so she should go to them as well. I would of course pick out an amish with a good reputation and would make frequent unanounced visits... trouble is they are so far away from here. At least 75-100 miles.
Ok, gonna go look up this resp syndrome I have.... Ugh !!!
