Don't let Jim him scare you away from the Cheeseheads page. You are afraid for your birds and doing what you think is right and reacting in a way that a lot of people probably would. If you want to pursue finding the seller to warn them IF the test comes back positive for a contagious disease I think that is responsible of you. As a breeder I would want to know if something like this happened so I could get my birds tested and not spread any more disease. If they already know they have it, they need to know that you are aware of them selling sick birds.
Good post. I agree in tracking them down if you can. I also agree with reporting. It is pretty hard not to know if you have MG. The dead body's would give it away. Responsible animal husbandry has to start somewhere. It's possible to still follow the rules and have disease brought into a swap. Birds only need to be pollorum-typhoid clean. This is why I don't show my birds anymore.
But maybe you're referring to them not keeping proper track of their vendors when you say they weren't following the rules. I do think its important to contact the seller and let them know what is going on. They may not realize that they have a repiratory disease in their flock. Or maybe they don't care, in which case it should be made known to others who this person is so that they can be avoided when looking to purchase chicks.
Quote: Jim,
I realize you do not like anyone challenging what you say.

I have read everyone words. One is grieving and the other one is supportive.
Good Evening To Everyone....I'm going to stand by the Brinsea 20 as being a superior incubator.
What was your RH ...during lockdown....mine holds rock steady...give it the water it needs...follow the directions...Im not about to argue....I feel sorry for brinsea....its not their problem if someone can't follow their instructions and expect good results. Post your complaint on the incubation thread....lots of brinsea lovers there, that are willing to argue with you. I LOVE MINE! And recommend buying one.
More weeding today...the spuds are hilled for the first time....I didn't get everything done in the first garden, but I good a handle on it.
Wanna come build for me Jim? Good food and all the beer you can drink...afterwards of course.
How about a free ride to and from work? What else will it take? Nice pics, by the way.
