It's Dump day today and need to finish planting...at this point we'll need not only a long summer but a very very long fall !!

Stacy, WOW...... Glad to hear they finally figured things out for the most part. Hindsight sure is 20/20....
I had a friend who died of an aneurysm in her thirties.... she always complained of headaches at work....
You have to listen to your body.... it saved me several times !!!!
Too bad doctors don't listen to us sometimes...... Especially when you are young or younger.... they tend to think it is all in your head..... When I found a huge lump in my breast at 29 yrs old I went for an ultrasound and a mammogram.... The tech knew something was wrong and left the room several times.
Called my doctor for the results and the doctor who read the films and ultrasound said they were cysts with no sign of malignancy...... I had been off of work for 9 months with all of the neurological symptoms so I said I want it out of there before I attempt to go back to work (I was going to loose my job if I was out any longer then a year)
Thank God I did that because I went to the Breast Diagnostic Clinic to have the "cysts" aspirated and he stuck the needle in and said "that is no cyst" !! That was quite the shocker..... especially since I had had a mammogram at 27yrs old and the doctor at the Breast diagnostic Clinic said my breasts were normal.... come back whey you are 35 yrs old.
That was one of the hardest things to do was to call my Mom and Dad and tell them I had cancer again......

Anyway, it sure ticks me off that they don't take young people serious... I worked with another girl who died of ovarian cancer age 30 at the same time I was going thru my BC treatments and radiation. She had been trying to get pregnant for a couple of years and was going to doctors..... They didn't find her cancer until it had spread all over !!!

So listen up everyone,,,,, Old or YOUNG.... listen to your bodies and if you don't like what they say..... get a second or third opinion....

So Stacy, Do you have a CPAP then?

I think we need a Cheesehead Aches and Pains, or Old Timers thread started.... People like to compare war stories !!! LOL

I checked Fleet Farm and they didn't have the stirup hoe...... any other place up in this neck of the woods that has one that you know of ?

try local hardware stores, they can order if they don't have one,,,also check WalMart I've seen them there

have I mentioned how the weather sucks? early blight on the 'mators, all the garden is behind schedule, the transplanted raspberries are doing good with the every other day of rain,,,,new asparagus is sending some shoots,,,

have a woman coming for the last 6 olive egger chicks I hatched,,,pretty amazing the way those sold this year

I know a 14 year old boy who is looking for some pure Broad Breasted Bronze turkeys.. not too young, ones.. he doesn't drive, so a relay might have to be set up.. I think he wants a pair..

I set 96 guinea eggs last night..

going to deliver Marlene's keets this afternoon, over 40 of them,, closer to 50, maybe even more..hard to count moving targets..
and she said she has about 20 more eggs..
and Annie said there are more than a dozen eggs in the community nest in the corner of the house..

Unka Dan, I want to transplant grape vines.. what is the best kind of fertilizer to put into the new hole ? or none ?? I have a vine growing in the middle of the lawn,, I want to put it next to the peacock pen so it can crawl up the wire..

I have to go do something with the old grapes also. they are getting choked off with renegade raspberry .. either jerk out all the raspberry or transplant those old vines next to the peacock pen also..

I also have to learn more about starting cuttings of grapes.. I have lots of heavy rocks to use up..

how about it you master gardeners ? any suggestions ?

They donthave have much figured out other thana to give me loads of pain pills to keep merecord from complaining. I take Tramadol, Methocarbamol, Cyclobenzaprine and Gabapentin for pain; Acetazolamid to try reduce fluid in brain; Prochloperazine as after the colon thing i puke steady if i eat; Omeprazole and Ranitidine bcause the other pills tore up my stomach; 2 aspirin a day for blood thinning.They just found cysts on my ovaries, uterus and ureters on the scan they did to try and find cause of my incontinence but haven't set me up with a specialist yet. I would just as soon they do a historecomy(sp) as I've been fixed now for 12 years and no plans for more. Besides my mom is currently fighting ovarian cancer.
I did have the CPAP but my lungs are only functioning at 60% so im unable to push the air out even set at 5#. That is why they are opting for all the surgeries, just awaiting for insurance approval.

Hysterectomy is the best thing I ever did !!!! Mentally and physically...... I was known in my family as the "PMS QUEEN" !!! Now I'm just a Witch with a capital B !!!
But at least I wake up being the same B!tch everyday !!!

Thanks Unk, I'll check out Wally World Monday when I go to Rhinelander for the spay clinic. Gonna be a tough day there. All of the animals getting fixed are going to be shelter animals !!! Hope I can resist them........ I'll only bring home a poodle, or a teddy bear dog !!!

Ok, I'll make this post poultry related...... all I can say is Father Dom must be a millionaire !!!!! Ever heard of Father Doms Duck Doo compose/fertilzer ? Yep a priest from Kenosha packaged his duck doo doo "Father Doms Duck Doo" !!! Then he came up with another with horse $hit... aka "Pony Express" !
Now why didn't I think of that ???? ........ Oh I guess because I didn't have ducks or chickens back then..... Wonder what he's doing with his millions ???
I think of all of his money every time I look in at my ducklings.....All the $hit going to waste !!! I'm starting a duck composte pile..............and am gonna start farming flys !!!

Jim save me a cutting or two..... Our grapes aren't doing that well. I'd love some old grape varieties.... assuming they are old varitety just because you are !!!!!

ps Tip for the day.... grapes and rasins are toxic to dogs and I think cats.... just like onions are. just fyi
