Kristi- Come east for you pick strawberries. We go to a place called Hazeltines on hwy 11.

They have taken down the peak picking sign as of yesterday but they are so big there must be some good berries left.

Deli- you can hang with me anytime. As can anyone who can/will field dress a chicken.

lol..
I am old..field dressing with my dad 50 years ago. He was an avid hunter and field dressed all his birds and squirrels.
I get lazy and field dress my old chickens to feed out to the birds. It is a time saver and I hate plucking feathers. My hands are so crippled when I am done.
I missed berry picking too. My berries are not even ready.

Well, sure is nice being missed !!!!!

Hi All!

Big Fam.... The way I felt I would have been happy to get rid of my legs just to get some relief! I think it was the worse case of RLS I had in years! BTW... if I can't get my hips and back fixed, in a few years CC, my son and I could put on quite a race! LOL Maybe FT could join us on "foot"

Deli.... I might pick up on the ff and feed birds outside pretty easy from you. But I can't chop off a chickens head, let a lone stand on its wings and do something to it! ( ok, I'll admit I quit reading at that part. Go ahead, laugh at me!!!) I'm going to try very hard to suck it up to inject tylan. That's a big step!

Uncle Romie (Dan's uncle) butchered some Roos for me last year. He said he'd give me one year to get over my squeamishness, then he'd teach me to butcher a chicken. My year is up, and I'm not calling Romie no more for chicken butchering! LOL! We don't even own a hatchet. My dad didn't hunt. My hubby doesn't hunt. So Dan doesn't even know how (or want to) butcher a chicken. I know. We are a sad sad bunch. But I'm working on it! I've only had chickens a year!!!

Epsom drench waterer is out this morning. They are not happy. Yucky salty water and they're stuck in the run. I did dunk the silkie in a Epsom bath too. It has actually improved tremendously on the FF. I think some of them look greasy because of the messy food. So I grabb a few other birds that looked a little suspicious in the yeast dept and dunked then as well. Looks like the yeast is getting under control, so now spend the money on the tylan. But I would like a smaller bottle. It's a huge one for cattle. I wonder if anyone knows where they might sell it online in smaller bottles?

Hi Frenchie. Were you gone? (Jim says that to me whenever I point out how nobody misses me!) ;)

Judge, you can use the tube ivermectin that you buy for horses. About the size of a pea. It is very safe, even if given more on the high end. You can also us ivermection pour on..... drop or two on the skin. Would have to check on the dosage. That would kill lice and mights as well.
Also the injectibale ivermectin can be given orally. That's in a small brown bottle.

The pour on is very easy to do. Only thing is ivermection doesn't kill tapeworm if you think you have tapeworm. You might want to deworm with the ivermectin first or even with the Wazine dewormer that is labeled for chickens to kill off a smaller amount (wazine really only works on round worms I believe) because if they are heavily infested just like with horses or any animal for that matter, if you kill off everything all at once you can cause blockages from all of the dead worms.

Do a search from user Dawg53 on BYC.... He is the knowledge fairy when it comes to meds........ Don't know if he wears sandals though !!!

Good afternoon--Judge you must have some Ivermectin pour on with all those cows! Like Frenchie said, that will gets the lice and mites if present too! Double whammy.

Where to even start !!!!! LOL

Went to the spay clinic in Rhinelander Monday..... I knew it was gonna be a tough day there !!! lol

The two wiener dogs were there !!! OMG how adorable.... I'm not a wiener dog person per say but they were so dang cute..... both black and tan... One was 9lb and the other 13 lbs.

Then there were three black lab/pitt crosses..... OMG they were even cutier then the wienies !!!
Looked like black and white boxers.

The wienies where surrendered to the HS, there were three but one was adopted. That one was long haired I guess. All about 3 yrs old. Surrendered because they couldn't afford them......

Then there was an Adorable BLACK PUG that was a stray in Rhinelander..... expensive dog they said.... who in their right mind wouldn't keep looking for their lost dog !!! ?????
It is a He or I would have loved to have him.... nothing against boy dogs but for a small dog, at least for now I want the girls.
Tons and I mean TONS of adorable kittens..... I couldn't take it.... every one they took out of their crates was cutier then the last and they were getting tinier and tinier !!! All available at the Oneida County Humane Society !!!!

Guess You are all wondering what me real story is right !!!! Well it's comming.....
