Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

OK, TO ~~~~I watched your video link and that is sooooo NOT FUNNY!!!! My hubby looked over my shoulder and said, "That is you! See! I told you they were going to come and get you!!!" That is NOT me!!! I do NOT baby talk to my chickens!!! Well, at least not the grown up ones, so there!

(oh, and I told him we should get a goat or two, but so he wouldn't have to cut the weeds! But they should probably be milk goats anyway. I mean why not dual purpose?)

Oh Vicki... That is SO TOTALLY YOU!!!! Your girls are so spoiled. You might as well make your own video. And your hubby could tack on his own 2 cents about how accurate it is!

here is an example of the age difference between the babies.. the little guinea keet is less than a week old,, the barock is about 4 weeks..

these birds are like relatives,, you cannot get them all together for a group picture,,

TO: You mentioned buckeyes (which I am not at all familiar with) having 10 toes. Is this different than the Salmon faverolles extra toes? And I think Dorking or Iowa Blues also have the extra back toe? (My SF "Elsie" is the poorest example of a SF ever LOL She was a hatchery bird, and coloring is off plus she has one extra toe like thing on one foot and nothing on the other-poor girl)

I have three Hershey eggs fertile, three blue eggs fertile and three Buckeye eggs fertile.

You candled?! Cheater... Mine are under broodies, so I was gonna let them ride for quite some time before looking.

Btw... It looks like Riga has 2 black orps for babies. The blue died. :-(

Also I found my lavender rumpless chick stuck between a barn door and a board where it died. Gosh darn it, he was very cool looking. In case CC was trying to keep track, this makes me lavender-less again.

That sucks the blue died..Hopefully the two black chicks are split with chocolate. I am going to purchase a LF chocolate pullet next spring. Going to keep a male from the split to chocolate and see how that goes. I will probably only get one out of 4 if any chocolates.

I have quite a few Orpington chicks with moms..one of the black chicks with my cherry egger died too..it never seemed to grow and was always lagging behind. Tiny little thing. Was for the best. My black Orp has 8 chicks so she is busy.

My baby geese are missing! My babies:( I've been crying on and off all day. I'm seriously heartbroken over this. The only other animal that I loved as much as them is the dog. Its a really rotten situation. Not sure if something grabbed them or if they wandered off. I looked for them for about 40 minutes last night and a half hour this morning. This sucks! So bad
