Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

You ladies are nutty and nut obsessed. Envious even.

Lisa congratulations on becoming a MIL twice in a week. And remember as long as your kids are not marrying each other next week, it's all good.

The clothing optional berry picking event has been cancelled due to mosquitoes hatching. HOLY CRIPES they are thick this hatch, and aggressive. Only 5 more hatches to go this summer, BOOOOO.

For those of you who like a running event, my wife is on her way to Aurora Illinois for the "Color Vibe 5k" just for fun.

Apparently the spectators purchase color packets to throw on/at the runners as they pass.

Called a color run; trying to talk the co-workers into doing one in GB at the end of September.

Like Terri, I spent the day moving birds around too, and I also have no more chicks in the house.

The 4 week olds are now out with Jack & Molly, and according to Jack, I have 4 roosters out of 6.

At least one is a chocolate, so he is staying. But I have a lav and 2 black orps (one is split to chocolate) that I need to rehome. Any takers? Jim, maybe?????

Yes, I AM pawning my troubles off onto others (or at least attempting to), but at least I said they were roos, instead of just trying to sell them as "unsexed" chicks to some unknowledgable newbie. So

I seriously need some sleep. I just read 6 pages and I'm starting to see double. Oh wait. That was just one of my posts. Whoops!

My daughters and their friends did one of those color runs in Milwaukee (I think) last year. THey were VERY colorful when they got home! I think they are doing another one this summer some time. They had a blast!

CC--every time you post and then you do the post with you banging your head I bust out laughing! I sure wonder why some people's posts go double and others' dont? Has anyone contacted a mod about it yet?

We got the fair all set up for the art dept. Lots of shelving to wipe down and many tables and chairs to set up. Hopefully judging goes smoothly tomorrow. It is a little better when it is on a weekend because everyone seems a bit more relaxed and easier to get along with! We are down a few exhibits again--I think we are at 794 this year. Our highest was close to 1500.

The hen I moved from the barn (that DH just HAD to clean this weekend) resumed sitting on her eggs and a few others I gave her. Her eggs had 2 rotten smelling ones in the group so I had little faith that they would hatch. I put her in the cage that the broody with 10 babies was in. BTW--that broody was still attacking the babies tonight so I let them all go into the little coop with another hen that wanted to sleep in there and I locked the mama out! Serves her right.
Nothing from the remaining eggs in the bator...

Heather, the Spay Me! clinic in Sun Prairie is very reasonable to get your poodle fixed right up! The quicker that gets done the better.

Well, I do believe I will hit the hay...Loooong day ahead of us tomorrow for sure!
Nighties! TerriO
