Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

All I want is a sheltie. I think I'll get one next spring. A male, I didn't care for the female I used to have, but I really miss my male. When my golden passes, I will get an old fashioned German shepherd. The only mutt I am on the look out for is a golden retriever x rough collie.

good early evening.. I lost about 10 pounds today..(estimated) we planted 27 more plants into the GH,, what I didn't sweat away,, the skeeters sucked away..
then we got rained out just as we finished watering the new plants..

Sandi, the GH is not the same building as the peacock pen.. very similar wall structure , though.

Oh, was there a goose in that picture of the belly ? I will have to go back and take another look..
please people,, careful with the body parts photos .. If you don't show me yours, I won't show you mine..

my next project will have to be to hang some strings to tie up the tomato plants.. they are beginning to wander already.. I am really happy with the way the peppers are growing, too..
pinching off the blossoms when I planted them sure didn't seem to set them back much.. I have peppers and blossoms galore .. and the plants are more than knee high to me,,

Amyable, the silkies are tempting! super cute, but what I am looking to add next are some EE's! Anyone have a few I could get? I never thought chickens would be so addicting!

so the sneezing chickens are no longer sneezing chickens.

I don't know, I guess I'll just keep an eye on things. I cleaned out under the roost and did find it was damp underneath but that was my only spot in the coop, so I'll plan on cleaning under it weekly unless that isn't often enough, then I might have to change the set up. Is it unusual that they would suddenly have a day of sneezing like that? it freaked me out.

JJ, good for you for taking those dogs! I"ve thought about doing that a few times myself, tho never followed thru with it. I've never understood why some people have dogs, but never include them in their family. My sister had 2 white shepards. :) they are pretty dogs.

Unkadan, many pages back, you'd mentioned the Wolf Pack. We vacation every summer (DH's family went to Sayner for 30 plus yrs) and never go home without a stop there. BEST ever. :)

Love good eats! Best dang turkey I ever made/ate!

BBP, my BIL and SIL had a golden/collie cross...... he was such a good dog, looked like a collie but his fur was almost all the tan color of a golden. He passed away a few years ago from lymphatic cancer. His bad habit was stealing things off the counter.... he would eat entire loaves of bread if he could get at them!

Poor DH; not only does he have this stupid bug to deal with, but on top of it he is working 10+ hours every day. He comes home and passes out for about 3 hours, wakes up to be social and eat, then right back to bed.

My neighbors replaced their little back porch this weekend (the kitchen porch of a Victorian). Almost better than watching TV since it took him 4 days to get it finished....... I think it is 5x10 feet. Looks really nice now.

I suppose I should go to bed, but it is so much more fun to look up deals on groupon, and look at things I cannot have on CL!

New coop as of few minutes ago. Just have to finish front boards at peak put on ridge cap and can start on inside. Sure is a hot one out there. Husband wants to steal it for a dirtbike shed but little does he know since I'm stuck building myself he can build his own shed!

Looking good! You did it by yourself? That's a lot of work to do alone. Kudos!!

Yes, round, 9" diameter. I have NO clue about brand, it is probably decades and decades old. I am pretty sure it came from my grandpa's best friend's mother. I need to go peruse some thrift stores....

What a headache about your docs and meds. Don't know how you keep it all straight. Had a cookout at Julie's last night, later we're gonna all head to the beach. I am miserable with hot humidity.

Earlier this week we brought home 2 more mousecatchers from Julie's. Still working on names, cute little bitty gals.

And the Silkies I hatched for Julie. She wants to keep a black, the white with stripes, and maybe one other. So that leaves 4, anyone interested?
AH-DORABLE! (Both the kitties and the silkies)

Thanks Irish. Yes I did and I swear I lost at least 10lbs in sweat today alone. One can get very creative trying to hold 8 ft. Material and nail it up alone. Everyone has been sitting in the house w central air while I've been working my butt off literally. Got the nesting boxes done this afternoon. Tomorrow working on brooders so I can get these chicks out of the house.
Can't believe the chicks are a week old today and some have nearly as many feathers as my Cochin that are just over a month old.
