Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good luck Celtic.
Thanks for sharing photos Big, lots of boys you have, I bet you feel out numbered. I have 3 boys and 2 girls. My youngest daughter moves out next month to Rice Lake for 2nd yr of college, then I'll be all alone with the boys.

I forgot to post this earlier. My daughter has a Cayuga drake she's selling, I may be able to convince her to sell a hen with it if anyone is interested. She has 5 total and I don't think she need 3 hens.

well it seems the heat is going to be never ending. I am surprised I have not lost any birds. They sure seem to be suffering with all of the panting. I am just glad I have one of the coops up off the ground so they can get under it. I put all the new chicks outside, since it is hot enough they do not need any additional heat out there.

Joe came home early. I guess he is going back out next week too. Vacation time..

keep cool everyone

When I had my family pictures taken, she snapped a few of the birds. What a nice pic a nice camera can take!

George...

Honey, a blue wheaten Marans...

My Australian spotted ducklings...

One of my Dutch Hook bills...

Yes, great photos! But, I have to say, its mostly the operator who knows how to work a nice camera.

I've seen folks with thousand dollar cameras take god-awful pictures.

Oh yes Amy...I think I remember something about "what does a photographer hate to hear...?" LOL!
I am showered and cool---thank Goodness...I could hardly stand myself! My hair is now REALLY short! I am looking forward to heading to bed...oh oh--guess I better do that soon--I took the sheets off to wash and the bed is nekkid!

I am going riding on Saturday...I wonder if I will remember how, it has been so long!
Just had a dish of butter pecan ice cream--YUM!
Have a good night all! TErriOofftosleepyland

good evening,, update: the cluc has 8 chicks today.. she must have had them in the loft and they are falling down one by one..

Annie has a tongue cooking on the stove,, she asked me to cut it up for her..

I got a call,, my tiller is ready to be picked up.. $69.oo.. not a$ bad a$ I wa$ thinking it would be.

I guess they had rain in Mosinee and Wausau late this afternoon.. nothing this far North, though..

I watered the G H plants.. I am thinking I might have to add another hose and water the rest of the garden soon.. we will see what the weather man has to report..

I think I will set up a TV for these new keets.. they could go until tomorrow, but I think it is better if they can get a drink before then..

the outside chickens are taking the heat very well.. there is some open mouths, but a couple of the roosters thought it was just the right temperature for a fight.. they barely got started and the puppy broke it up..

It was so hot today, even the guineas were just walking..

Annie noticed that the peachick has a curled foot.. I suppose we will have to operate soon..

I did not get a nap in today..so it will be early to bed, I think..

Annie picked enough raspberries for a pie.. just in the nick O time, too,, the strawberry short cake was finished off by someone last night..

ETA: transferred 14 keets to the tv...
