I'm going to put this out there... With the no water inside the coop, I've got no mess with ducks and chickens. I have the water outside. Yes, there is a mess outside, but ducks are messy. But I'm really digging this eat and drink outside the coop. I love not having the duck muck in the coop, and will love it even more in the winter.

What about at night? Do they have access to water when the coop is closed for the night? Would love to have no water inside the coop!

I have a small dog dish in my coop that gets filled in the morning, by night all of that water is gone and my birds have no water in there. Definitely necessary if you have ducks going in the coop too! My scovies get along fine with the chickens--no worries there at all!
