but before I go I have a couple questions for ya all.

We need to paint our window trim on the house. Some of the wood has bare spots and some has good paint. The painted part is a dark brown. We would like to paint it a dark green as we have redwood color siding.
Question for ya..... What is the best type of primer (brand or type) to use for a project like this.... also any suggestions on brands of paint to use ???? We would like this to last... don't want to be doing this every year or every other year for that matter..... Then to find a color we like.... !!!!

Hi All

Won't be holding down the fort much, a friend came up from Missouri so I'm behind on house chores too. He's spending the night on Young Son's couch.

Nice Pics!

Sorry not saying much, didn't wear the brace for most of the day and did a stupid and bent over, now my rib is hurting like H#LL! Sitting here is very uncomfortable. Think I'll finish the FF, have some liquid pain killer and go to bed.

Night All!

I have the book "Storey's Guide To Raising Chickens" and in there it states that eggs do not have to be turned after day 14. Im wondering how true this is? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Homemade bator is fired up and ready for lockdown as I have a staggered hatch due to unfertile eggs.

Horses didn't get out lastnight so I won't be eating them.

Delisha- wondered if you seen photo of my BLRW hen I posted yesterday to comment? I know it may have rolled by with so many posts. I look forward to you honesty on her.

Im really looking forward to seeing what will come out of this hatch. BLRW roo x with Blue Wheaton Americana, blue wyondotte, black austrolorp, black wyondotte and the BLRW hen. Staggered is lavender orp x speckled Sussex, gold laced wyondotte and black orp. This was going to be last hatch for the year but after losing so many in the junk bator may do one more in Brinsea depending on how these hatches go. And how the 3 broody hens turn out.

I think coccidiosis is going to take all but one of my chocolate orp bantams :( I didn't realize they had it until it was too late for one. The other two are not doing well. I have sulmet in their water, but I think its too late.

Oh no bbp... So sorry... Hope it gets better. Are the bantams more likely to get cocci?
Well we arentryingtomfigure out some things around here right now...fridge is on the fritz, our router keeps dropping the Internet for no reason and the mower has some issues. When it rains it pours. Good thing I am going back to work soon.sigh.
Parents coming in tomorrowmtomatch kids for our anniversary, just going to dinner and run some errands. Might be looking at appliances now. We will see.

Otherwise not much else new. Lots of panting in the coop. But I have now pulled out all the frozen pumpkin I had from the fall to give to the coop. They love it.
