Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Jeez, football is a lot of work, especially for the quarterback. That's me. It really wears on ya. 7:45 till 12, then 5:15 till 7:30.

That is a lot of time out from home and chicks. By the way all chicks are good, will post some pics as soon as mom gets home with the camera of chicks and brooder. All others are doing great.

So many tornadoes, lucky for us, haven't seen one. In the middle of that tornado pic, is that a road or the path of the tornado?

Oh and anyone following the older stuff, hen that got stung is fully recovered, using her eye and everything. Other hen is eating, got an egg from her today. And the limping chick is fine, only limps on a full out sprint, and it is still barely noticeable. So doing good. No more weak chicks either. Calling hatchery when mom gets home.

Bad grammar

Wow! You're a multi-talented guy! QB is a very prestigious position. Do we need to tell Aaron Rodgers to watch his back in the near future?

I just got bit by a chicken!!!
D.gif
. To be specific, one of my young pullets! Little stinker left quite a scratch!

They escaped again from the extra play yard so hubby fixed it by making the fence higher and I was trying to scoot them out there when Gravy tried to turn back. I blocked her then tapped her on the butt with my foot to get her going in the right direction. She wheeled around, stretched her self up, puffed her wings, raised her hackles so far out she looked like something out of Jurassic park, and then bit me on the foot!!! She took one look and I think she knew that was a major booboo because she instantly wheeled around and did a submissive squat!

I scooped her up and gave her beak a good shake before carrying her out to the yard. I didn't yell because I was just establishing dominance, not trying to frighten her. Used the same technique on Noodle when she was being a bratty teenager and now she is my sweetest young lady (at least to me

) . They should all three start laying any day now then their world changes, I hope

If only some human children would respond to a good beak shaking!

Deli-my broody did not like the "alternative" box at all, even with the eggs in it! I got belly deep in chicken poo for nothin. I gave her the eggs where she's been sittin and she's happy again. I'll have to put that box upstairs for the next one to use. Oh and they all loved the scrambled eggs too. Thanks again.

Hopefully my eggs from Colton arrive tomorrow. This way they hatch close.

good evening, I left the TV at the 3rd quarter.. somebody should give the pack lessons in hugging, then maybe they could learn how to hold on to someone..

I started sorting tools today.. found wrenches I forgot I had.. filled a five gallon pail 3/4 full with nothing but screwdrivers.. and I know where there are quite a few more..

sold 6 chickens to a lady from Minocqua today. 4 of the old hens and one each of the BO and barocks..

there are at least 17 eggs in the guinea's nest as of yesterday..

Blackberries are starting to turn black. looks like it is going to be a good year for them, as well as the raspberries.. the apple tree is not too well endowed.. Annie is collecting whatever falls to the ground for a pie.. By Sunday there should be enough..

Amy, I wish I had known about that place before it was destroyed, it would have made a great location for Senior pics!
I know, but it was on private property, with signs posted all around and very near a house. I had intended to go ask permission to photograph it up close (the one I posted was from the road). Alas, it is too late.

Or whos?
Oh......my.......... That is terrible. Our weather guy down here was predicting heavy storms with dangerous conditions up there that evening. But it was the late news (10pm). What a terrible thing.

Amy, I'm sending girlie vibes for your lil peanut too.

Somehow that just doesn't sound right, though.
CC you are on a roll
Thanks to Vicki (Delisha) for having me over today...and for the eggs of course!! I've got my box cut up and I'm just waiting for DH to come home with a bag of shavings. Should I wait for Colton's eggs to come to switch over? I forgot to ask you that.
He mailed them and should arrive tomorrow, they should be fine giving them to her.

SLW roo about 3 1/2 mos.

Lady and her chickies.
There are things i like about him. He looks like he has a nice round structure. Nice color legs, nice shape to the comb and lovely little wattles. He is too active to see his top line. Two more months and I can tell more..do you have that new bird in with your flock?

cute broody and chicks

Heather..where are the chick picks?

Good Evening everyone......
Well, I made it to the Spay Clinic.... an hour and a half late..... My dang alarm didn't go off. ET told me to set it for 5am so he could get up for work today and then I set the second alarm (this was on my cel phone) for 8am. Never went off. Dang !!! It went off at 5am but not 8am.

But we only had 21 critters to do so all was ok.

After the clinic I met up with ET at lake so he could look at the boat again and check the fuse in the motor (as suggested by the guy at he boat place) Guess what ????
celebrate.gif
Yes, that was the problem !!! We gave each other the HIGH FIVE
highfive.gif
and he gave me credit for stopping and talking with boat guy. Turns out he had installed the wires correctly to begin with but the fuse must have blown when he did it ????
Anyway so it cost me $1.00 for the fuse, $6.00 for the tester which we didn't use and $20.00 for the new ignition switch .... $27.00 total..... Not bad, but not really good if you think about it.... all because we misplaced the igniton key to begin with !!!! I'll probably find it this week !!!
So we tooted around the lake a few times. Boat ran real good until he brought it down to a slow trolling speed. At the exact moment I texted the family members that we got the boat up and running again the Motor quit !!! We were in the middle of the lake....
th.gif
Luckily it started right up.... think it was just because it was idling so low. So one problem solved, just dozen more to complete.... making headway !! LOL

Stopped at one tire place in Rhinelander. Looks like about $110.00 a tire x four !!! Plus another $60 for alignment.... IF that's all it would need.

Sorry I can't remember Sh!t tonight (CRS) so my comments to all of the above posts is ..... No Comment !!!

Oh, I guess I do have one or two comments..... Cindlady.... what ? Getting ready for the Pot ???? Hmmmm
Heather, I would love to see your chocolate chip chicks (ccc's) Still have PMS ?

There was something else but ......

No he's in a different pen with some jubilee projects I purchased at the same time a bit over a month ago. I was told he was exhibition quality when I purchased him and was wondering if it were true.
