Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good afternoon folks,

nice summer day in the north country

OK,,,,fess up Who cut the cheese recipe (and pasted),,**** qluten free ppl stealing again!!

at risk of sounding mean here, sclark that "Americana" is just that, nice easter egger and it appears to have some sickle feathers forming. I'd say it's a cockerel, definitely a non standard color.

no excuse for those animals dieing, BUT since the bank had possession since July I think they would share in the responsibility. Around here at least someone would have inspected the house upon the owner leaving, of course in today's mortgage market that bank might have been anywhere in the country with no local contact at all. Sad story for sure all the way around

oh, and let me say, I too am a Spam fan, mystery meat in a can, now that's America!

Hi All

TO... The quills don't have to be fresh, matter of fact some pens I've made were from quills that were years old. I think my sand was too hot. I used a meat thermometer to check it but I had some quills blister. After my disaster I looked online to see what went wrong and found a couple different tempering methods I'll try. Te peahen quills are too small around for pens but are so cool I'll find a use for them. Man she must have had a sore butt after you grabbed all those feathers off!

I'm not sure how that gal had it in her head we had her recipe but perhaps she saw "cheeseheads" somewhere and thought we were a food forum

Son 14 and I finally got the windows and most of the new coop finished today.

Can anyone tell me what sex this Americana chick is? Approximately 3 months old.

I am going with ROO, just from gut feel and personal experience. cool nest boxes. do the eggs roll to the front?

Oh and everyone watch close.

I have been perfecting an old private family recipe that I can't wait to share with you ALL. I will be posting it soon. Tell all your friends. You're not gonna believe this recipe. It is so unique that no other human ever could have thought to combine the ingredients in this way before! Anybody want to guess what it's a recipe for?

TO - once you talked about what your hubby found I remember I've seen that pancake recipe recently, but not on here. I think someone posted it to my FB page. If I cared enough I'd look, too bad I don't. ;)

Didn't win the grill just a pack of brats. Oh well. Got the shopping done and some time away from puppy sitting :D

Yes I am always posting on here while at work...... and I suddenly decided to change the spelling of my name AND crop off all my hair and dye it some horrible shade of blonde (which would NEVER happen).....

Yeah she did rip that right out of SS's cookbook, AND I checked to see if anyone ever posted the pic of those pancakes on our thread: and found nothing.

This person should worry about the legal battle from Suzanne Somers!

Said goodbye to a co-worker today, he was fed up with the BS at work so he snagged himself a new job that is less than 3 miles from his house! He is so happy he will be working in AC, no more rubber suits, no more SATURDAYS!

Since we are going to head South, I did my nails up nice and pretty. Where is MXM????? Our nail polish guru!!!! I even put little decals and jewels on my toes.

I suppose I should start making dinner...... chicken fajitas are on the menu!

Mellie, what route are you taking South Tuesday? Oh, wait, forget it. I was going to try to field you on the way by for a quick hi, but I forgot about Halden's therapy. He has 2 new therapists starting this week, a new senior therapist supervisor, and the therapist trainer coming in to help. :( All these new people coming in and out of my house. It makes me anxious. So many new people. It is great news for Halden. He should have a full team then. (although saturday hours still arent coverd) but its a new bunch of people to watch. A new bunch of people to leave flexibilty with, to give ideas to, to comfort halden with when he's unsure of them and gets agitated more easily. I just know it will get easier someday. I know it. I will relish that day and look back at all this and think how strong I was without even realizing it. If only I could realize it now.

I made brownies btw...

if if if if..

And IF he did do all those things that you mentioned, then it is the new owner's fault, ie the bank..

maybe he had a good job and he lost it,, thus no money for payments, and no chance of refinancing..

II just don't understand you people,, You condemn without knowing any of the facts .. lots of mob mentality on this site..
Maybe, maybe, maybe.

I recently bought a place that was foreclosed by a local Credit Union. The people lived like animals. The animals living with them were allowed to do whatever on the carpeting. (We removed almost 2 TONS of nasty, nasty carpeting. They got so mad at the little local credit union (owned by its customers - their neighbors) because they couldn't make their payments that they kicked and punched in walls, cut out pieces of walls, filled the walls with filthy graffiti; took all of the bulbs, glass shades, some hardware and whatever else they could carry. They broke windows and tore out and gouged wood trim. It appears that they never cleaned as the stove was caked with a thick layer of grease and all surfaces needed to be cleaned multiple times. The credit union paid a couple of guys to clean out the trash they left - for several days I saw them shovel it out the front door into a truck. They hauled 5 truck loads of garbage out of the barn. They had both inside and outside animals that they obviously did not care for properly. The chicken coop was 50 shades of disgusting. I could go on, but you get the gist, These people could not afford to make payments on their house yet they kept goats, chickens, dogs, cats and a horse. These are the kind of people who blame it all on others - especially financial institutions.

I know there are people who struggle and there are unscrupulous bankers - we're not talking about those folks. People who selfishly hoard and abuse animals are the kind of people who don't much care if they behave properly, pay what they owe, act responsibly or ethically are the ones who blame others for their own folly. These are the people who cause costs to go up for people who are not like them. Our insurance costs go up. Our loan costs go up, etc., etc.

So if maybe he lost his job, wouldn't you think the first thing he should have done was to re-home his animals and reduce his costs? Maybe if he was a decent and responsible person he should have been concerned for the welfare of the animals. If he was out of a job he had all the time in the world to make sure they were taken care of. I have no sympathy for idiots like that who bring all their troubles on themselves by their selfish behavior. Enough of the facts are known to put him in that category. If that's what the mob thinks about people like him, then I'm in the mob.

with strawberries and whip cream?

Hows the new chicks?

It sure will be nice for Halden to have a full crew

The chocs are fine. Slowly calming. Very slowly. But now I have a wheaten marans roo hatched. it's the only one out for 2 days now. All he does is peep peep peep. Poor guy. I have a stuffed animal in there, but he only stops when someone is in the room talking to him or holding him. I have 6 other eggs in the brinsea doing nothing. Can't one other chick just come out?! Just one?!
