Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Sclark, that makes no sense. Aspirin is an anticoagulant, it PREVENTS blood from clotting. Ibuprofin is derived from Aspirin and therefore has the same anticoagulent properties...... I think you need to find some better doctors! FAST!

I'm back. Just had a hamburger pattie, baked potato with Home Grown Green Beans the neighbor brought up !!! The Beans were excellent !!! I had forgotten how good fresh green beans were !!! YUM !!

Question for those of you who have ducks !!! How in the heck do you keep your runs clean ? My duck runs are on a slope so when I empty their pools the old water flows down to then end of the run and of course being ducks they like to play in the dirty water. But then when I fill the pools they take nice baths in the fresh clean water. Every time I start slipping and slidding around I think of you TO.... I remember a few years ago you slipped and fell in your duck pen !!! I'm lucky, I can hang on to the top 2x4's so in case I slip I can just swing from them !! LOL
So with that being said, what do you all do in your duck runs ???

I need to hit the hay...procrastinating cause I have to go out and lock up...
Nice guineas Jim...a few were backwards though...
Sandi--I dont have runs for the ducks, thye are all free range all togehter...the whole place is a mud pit--you are lucky it is only in your runs! I have too many ducks to pen right now. The geese dont help much either but at lease they go in the pasture and sometimes the neighbor's pond.
Yes Cuties...that looks way more like an Orpington than an Aussie! The pic makes her almost look like a cochin! Are they her babies or did you stick eggs under her? Tell Sid that she has it better than Taylor at her age...she rode a doghouse!

Vicki--those babies were outside in a tractor since they were out of the brooder! They had new grass a few ties a day I am told. They were inside since they came here though...but they had PLENTY of places to throw dust around! Silly birdies!

OK--heading out. My eyes are closing....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-nighties! TerriO

I just sold all of my ducks, and like Terri I did not cage them/coop them. I do not put water in my runs or coops. The only water inside any containment was brooders/hospital/quarantine/rooms/buildings. I would imagine with any water fowl it will always be a mess if you have to water indoors or in a coop.
If i was forced to keep them indoors I would probably make something up off the ground with wire so the water could drain out and away.
Joe's dad made grates in the floors upstairs in one of the coops so water and poo could be pushed out. I think there is a pull out tray that you hose off.

Morphine can cause an allergic reaction resulting in major swelling. My mom reacts this way to it! I agree that you should immediately find another doctor!!!!! Also, the swelling in your foot could be a clot in itself. GO TO ANOTHER DOC!!!!

Deli-I just got the memo. Is it still for Wednesday that Cuties is heading out? I can't remember. I think it is, and if so, I forgot that DD12 has an ortho appt tomorrow later afternoon (3pm) in Gurnee. Also, when you told me to watch the coloring in my sitting hen, and if it turned pale to take her off of the nest. For how long do you mean? She definitely is looking pale to me, but her mothering/hatching instinct is really strong. She is doing good. I gave her some scrambled eggs yesterday and tried to get her to drink.

FT-glad everything seems..um...positive? Except for the pool issue, that sucks!

Hi All... me again!

Cuties... Cool.... let me know when it's sent so I can watch for it.

Don't feel to bad for the dog, he may like it. We had a dog that the boys had pull a wagon. sometimes he would go and sit in front of it waiting. We had another dog that would pull the boy's rowboat. She would pull them to shore or off a sand bar or get things that went overboard. Boy, I thought Belle was a Cochin when I saw the pic!

Sclark/CS.... I thought about allergic reaction to Morphine too... allot of people have reactions to it and can range from sneezing to (like me) respiratory arrest! Swelling could be one of them. I swell up wit steroids! Did they give you any of those? In any case, see someone soon!

Night All!

X2!!! That's the first Sidney' s Aussie I've seen outside of books. Where did she come from?

Sydney is my daughter :)
But I will be checking these out! Also, when the babies were at ourr place, it was a tractor. I had to move that thing 3 times a day!! And they crushed the grass! Lol hubby was alitle crabby about how the lawn was looking. But chicken poo is good fertilizer :) the grass is all bactk to normal...minus the rabbit pen area :-/

Clark, I really hope you can get a doc to figure this out for you!! I agree; second opinion. I understand it sux having to spend $ at docs that cant get it right. But you need to get this figured out!!

Cs, I wish you could make it today! Hopefully next time.

Del, looking forward to the visit!
