QUESTION


Rae's favorite girl has bumble foot. Scott is getting me some epsom salt tomorrow. Is soaking it enough? Or should I go for surgery right away? It is a small scab. But very swollen. And limping. If I soak it, should I scrub it with one of those dish scrubbing sponges. I have a pic to try to post.

I plan on going in to urgent care but it doesn't open until 8:30 so I'm going to tell you what is going on. I stated last night I couldn't get the swelling down using ice packs, elevating and other things. Well when I lay completely down in bed I can get it to go down about half way but the very minute I get up it swells right back up within a few minutes. As it's doing right now and I've only been up a few minutes long enough to take my meds and sit here and type this

Yes, I have pure whites.. In fact I sold a couple of white ones yesterday with a batch of 7 of the older ones..

I had 31 of the older ones, as near as cuties could count.. I have 32 new ones in the TV..

The "Chick TV" is a name that somebody dreamed up for the brooder where you can watch the chicks. (somebody asked )

I use those square fish aquariums .. I have screen covers that I can lay a towel over to regulate the heat by covering the whole screen, or whatever part of it I need to..

TerriO,, that picture was taken 3 hours later, after they had time to move around.. I keep a light on 24/7 so they can eat or drink all night long..

there are a couple of barocks and a half dozen BO running around loose this AM.. I knew the buffs were out, but IDK where the barocks slept..

I leave the young BO roo stay out because I don't want to pen him up with my colored roo.. that roo has a tendency towards killing roos he does not approve of..

my welder guy is coming around 10AM.. I increased the ground wire to 6 times it's original size.. I hope it does the trick.. otherwise I will have to take the bucket off and haul it somewhere else for the guy to work on.. his name is Chris,, He did a bit of tacking yesterday .. He is a good welder.. He does welding for a living,, but he is on vacation this week..

I think it is like an abscess. I googled it, and there is a hard piece in it. People often cut it open and dig that out. I've neutered, and assisted with spays. That was many years ago. I think I could do it. The pics show people using an exacto (sp) knife. I have surgical solution on hand. But the chicken is awake. I would feel bad for her. I hope soaking would do the trick. But don't want to prolong.
