Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

denim.... Most of us met here but between going to the bash and other meet-ups, I would think almost everyone, except the real new people, have meet at least one other member. The "bash" has been in Clintonville and will probably be there as long as we can.

I know where Clintonville is. We drive through there when we go to our place up in Lily.

Denim, you might have said ; but what kind of chickies do you have?

We have 2 standard Polish, 1 bantam Polish, 3 Cinnamon Queens and 2 Leghorns. Just don't tell the one Cinnamon Queen he is going to be dinner once he starts to crow. ;) I'll post pictures of them eventually. I'd like to take some updated photos of them all when it stops raining. Right now they are all a muddy mess!

Sclark, I wanted Cayugas this year, just couldn't hatch any. Next year...

As it is, I have Pekins, Campbells, Harlequins, the 1 Scovy and the mutts. Does anyone have an opinion on whether the mutts will be seasonal or year-round layers? Julie told me her Scovies don't lay in winter.

Speaking of, Julie is doing alright. She had a 2nd procedure after the lumpectomy, to remove and biopsy 2 lymph nodes. No cancer is in the nodes, so she'll now have radiation and chemo (chemo because there were 2 tumors in the original mass and 1 of them worried the docs.) She's recovering from the last surgery, which I think hit her harder than the first. A group of us are working on organizing a live benefit event for her, in Green Bay in late Oct.

Frenchie, did you ever get your addy to Carrie Norton for the chicken zipper pull?? She was trying to find your info so she could send it to you. I love mine!

Apparently CS takes Sheridan road all the way north to Clintonville.......

Grrrrr I want my ducks back!

Cuties let some of us central folk know if you are headed up this way! We could meet somewhere and check out your purchases!

I think it will be a yes! :) hubby will be home soon. We will decide then. I would like more info on the auction yet. Anybody else ever been there? Or anyone live near there wanting to sell some call ducks? That will be the main reason for the trip :) hopes to find some...
All items purchased and ready for bumble foot extraction. Wish us luck!

I am so amazed I beat that total! I love the store coupons! I am also up to $3.39 savings for gasoline up to 15 gals. That is a pretty good amount of money too. I will be taking my gas cans along as soon as I get to $.01 per gallon. (my tank is only 12 gals) Then I submit my pic and get another .25 credit right away. I get to be a star too and have my pic on the screen at the store! LOL! Weird hey? Anyhow...I got lots of good food today to add to my veggies from the garden.
Tonight I am making a fruit salad, some potato salad and I dont know what kind of meat...if any...
Better get to it and find some P salad recipes...not sure if I want German, French or American!
later guys! TerriO

Well another one to chalk up to shitty health care in rural areas. When I was at the docs yesterday I complained about how painful my mouth had been getting, worse than right after surgery. Doc. looked into my mouth and just said it would take time to heal. When I say painful, I mean to the point I can't swallow without crying. Well I went to urgent care again today, had an appt at 4pm. I had to get a refill on the Morphine and the nausea medication because I didn't want to run out during the weekend and get stuck in misery. Well doc looks in my mouth and I have a severe case of Thrush and that is why it's so painful and not improving. I looked in my mouth and it was obvious as I remember when my kids had it when they were younger and knew right away what it was. How the doc yesterday didn't say something is beyond me. I at least have the right meds now and will be feeling better. There's something in the med that numbs my mouth and after one dose feel a great deal better. It's good for them, they get paid for my 3 visits this week when 1 should of been plenty.
