Poly vi sol baby vitamins without iron works on wry neck, if that's what it has.

I'm going to the Mason City Iowa poultry show in Sept. I'm meeting Dennis Fuller to purchase more call ducks :) I'm getting away from breeding chickens to focus more on my ducks. Most of my chickens are for sale, but they sure aren't selling this time of year.

Some people must love the taste of the ocean.......

Well BF, we could work out some sort of chicken train if you want......

Happy Birthday Frerch AND Tomski!!!!!!!!

Tyler (of Purely Poultry) was looking for some nice native wildflowers for his garden, so of course I offered up my week patch to him. His wife and son came over yesterday and dug up quite a few grocery bags of flowers..... and it looks like nothing was touched. You would never know that I dug up so many plants.....

Wanted to go pick some blackberries up at my in-laws before it gets too hot, but everyone is still sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose I should start cooking up some bacon..... that usually gets them out of bed.

good morning,, I read every post,, and I did offer chicks , Heather.. I can't help it if I live here.. but I was here first,, you are the one who moved so far away..

I don't wish happy b'days or anything on here.. then if I miss one, I would be in bigger trouble than if I missed them all..

I am waiting for Chris to pick up the trailer w/the bucket on it , and then I am off to town for breakfast..

the light trick worked for the keets.. they were on the high roosts this morning.. going into that coop is like being among butterflies.. those keets just learned that they can fly.. they overcame their fear of the goslings.. now they are one big happy family..

In about another week, I will let the 4 turkey poults go free.. they still have not warmed up to me..
being skittish is their defense mechanism,, but hey, who do they think feeds them every day ??
Yesterday I tossed them some small pieces of bread.. they didn't seem to know what to make of that.. Once they get with the barnyard flock, they will learn ..

It was not me,, I do not buy from swaps anymore..

You all know that I do not advocate helping chicks hatch,, but I am also smart enough to know that most of you do help.. I do too, on occasion ..

I think one of the reasons for wry neck comes from helping a chick to hatch.. If you ever do help a chick to hatch,, DO NOT straighten it's neck for it.. just make sure that it is moist and no shrink wrap is present, then let them finish the process of hatching..
