Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

You guys

Why would he want to wear that dress, when she looks so good in it.

and

How much milk does he get from the average person on the street when looks for someone to milk?

I think Jim must be busy this morning to have missed these.

We sometimes need to keep our hubby's on their toe. That way, they realise what they have! Work harder not to loose it! Right judge? ;-)

Me again....

Colton... you may be able to save that chick with some work. I have saved an pullet with wry neck using Selenium tablets and vitamin E (I got the E from fish oil) You should be able to get them at Wal-Mart. As long as the chick will eat there is a chance. The pullet I saved is now happy, healthy, and laying! It took about 2 months though.

H&R.... Nice pics.... did the kids get anything? Or did I miss it? I wish I had a spinning wheel, that bun looks like it would have nice fiber! A friend of DH's just got 3 Alpacas, I could get all the fiber I want! I like to spin. You get into such a soothing trance like rhythm, makes the world go away! Has DD spun? Do you/she have a wheel?

Judge... can you put the chicks in a fenced in area with a mini coop? Or a tractor? Then they could still run some but be protected.

CS..... Slow down! Hope you dog feels better soon.

Never played at a casino, I would like to go sometime. Not into slots though.
I may have Marke's in my flock!

I just lost a pullet that had that paralyzed leg thing and another I'm not sure about. So far the only ones that showed any signs. F*#%!!!

Can guineas and turkeys get it?

I just spent 6 hours slicing tomatoes and filling 17 dehydrator trays. I just have 2 round Nestcos and one Ronco one with on fan. May have to fix that. Anyway, DH came home with 2 boxes of home grown tomatoes and I still can't use the kitchen sink. My canning supplies are buried in the garage where I can't reach them, so I had to do something with them. Well, dried tomatoes are nice, I guess I could make sauce with them later if I wanted to. I still have a box to do, hope they hold up until the first batch is dry!

Guess that's it.... Night All!
I have never seen a sick guinea,, I have found dead ones.. IDK what they die from.. just turn toes up and that's it.

Mereks and turkeys.. positively yes.. turkeys get so many illnesses .. why not mereks ?

Good morning--crazy around here last night about 2AM. TONS of fire and ambulance vehicles flying past. Turns out the bar (where I ride my horse to get a drink)was on fire! There isnt too much information yet. These folks have had such a hard time and have really made a neat spot...I hope they have good insurance and can rebuild quickly! It is the only business in uptown (love that) Milford that is still in business! Thanks God no one was hurt.

Oh yes, you are on the ball JJ...now get of the computer and get to that carpet cleaning!
sickbyc.gif
Jim probably missed that because he was so mad.......see below!
You guys that have refinished your floors are right on track. I have ripped out so much yucky carpeting in various apartments that I would NEVER have the stuff in my house. Besides the fact that we have no real sidewalk here and dogs, cats, kids and the occasional farm animal in the house!
ep.gif
I would rather throw down a braided rug and send it out to get it cleaned if it seemed to chilly on the floor. Ya know, that is why they make slippers!
this is the same one that I posted about a couple of days ago.. it is not an incubator,, it is a hatcher.. with a little ingenuity it could be made to have turners built in..
Gee Jim...that is cause we dont read your posts! "poke, poke." Just kidding buddy.....

Big weekend coming up here...TWO kids moving out and one going back to college!
clap.gif
I will be glad that I can use my washing machine when I want....I sure hope they plan on actually emptying their rooms in the next month or so. (good thing we have a barn!)

OK--I have the water running for the tank--guess I better get out there. I did take a pic of the Muskoy/Rouen cross mules that I have.....I dont think they are always mules though....there is a pair that is walking about with ducklings today. Any thoughts about how I could find out about this....Scientists?

He is a beautiful duck...very large.
And here are the Moonflowers that I didnt plant! I have no idea where they came from...they are growing in a patch of burdock near my driveway. The only think I can think of is that someone gave me some seeds and they were forgotten there--this is my area where I unload my car and I have been known to "store" stuff for a while here. There werent any seeds from you; were there JJ? Those canning jars rested there for a bit....

Have a great day folks! TErriO

I am going page by page..

MomG, don't worry about the space under the door.. Nobody is going to lie down on the floor to peek under to see you.. If the space still bothers you, just put a small throw rug at the doorway.

Otherwise, you can remove the door jamb and cut a little off of the bottom of each side.. If you do this,, leave about a half inch of space between the bottom of the jamb and the floor.. that way you are all set if anybody ever wants to do carpet again.. and the gap is not noticeable at all.. the gap allows the carpet to be tucked under the jamb, thus no fancy cutting around the jamb and casing is necessary ..

If you stored dried tomatoes in oil, wouldn't they re-hydrate ?

waiting for kitchen floor to dry so I can move half the furniture out and do carpet.

The jars you got from me I never saw. You took em right from the car to your house.

TO that duck is gorgeous !!! Wonder if those ducklings will look like that one !!! Then you have developed a new breed. Yep Muscovy's are supposedly the only breed of duck (I'm sure there are others someplace) that don't have mallard in them thus the gene or extra chromosomes that make them sterile. Interesting. I'm to lazy to look all that up. Wonder what my black Muscovy and Magpies will make. And I also have crested Magpies.... that aught to be cute too.

JJ, what did I miss ???? What happened to your carpet ? You guys, don't be so foolish... he doesn't want to ripe out all of his carpet !!! He likes those rug burns to much !!!! LOL (Heather makes me think like this !! )

Don't know why I always do this. I bought tons of stuff at Maynards... Rebates have to be post marked tomorrow. Well maybe I am a day early....I always wait til the last minute to send them... first I have to find them !!! I had to take some stuff back because they always put the frickin stuff on sale the week after I buy it.... So receipts are all over the place !!!

finally to the end,, 3 full pages,, and yes, I DO read them all..

JJ had no idea it was the same hatcher,, I did not post a picture.. he is correct,, it still is a good price.. $$$$ If you don't mind turning eggs by hand, it could be used as an incubator.. to speed things up, you could take each drawer out and tilt it from left to right and then right to left a couple of times a day to roll the eggs..

I think Judge should keep wearing that dress, and her DH should keep milking people on the street and I will take Judge out on the town.. my first reaction was, either that is a short dress, or Judge has really LONG arms..

TerriO, what excuse are you going to use for not doing laundry after the kids leave ??

It really rained here about 7 AM,, lots of boomers.. and just a few minutes another storm rolled thru.. good, now I don't have to water..

Dora had no problem "hiding" on the couch again..

TerriO, we started Dora on those pills.. already we can see improvement in after just two days. when she comes in the back door, she has more movement in her hips.. and she actually sort of lopes instead of dragging, when she walks.. and she is so good about taking four of those horse chokers each day.. I just put peanut butter on each side and lay it on top of her food.. she eats the pills first.. she is such a peanut butter lover; (like me)... what a loyal dog.. eh?

Cuties, I have 4 young turkeys if you need more.. they are coming up on 12 weeks old.. still in the turkey porch.. 1 royal palm, and 3 RPxRed Bourbon ,, kind of a buff color..

I am phasing out of turkeys.. we will keep old Tommy until he dies of old age, which won't be too long from now..

TODAY,, again,, we are going to try to get the bucket welded.
I went to FF and bought a 50 Amp 220 V breaker and wired it in.. the one we were using turned out to be just a 15 Amp.. No wonder it popped.. I checked on the proper size of wire to use,
6 Gage , I have all of that heavy wired in already with the piece of electric range wire I had laying around.. Chris is coming at 2:3o PM today.. keep our fingers crossed..

Heather, did you post anything ? do I have anything to comment about ? CRS ..

I had better end this post,, I don't want to win the FT posting award ..

Children happened to my carpet. Dog and cat helped. Not tearing it out this time, but it is due. 22 years old and showing it.

The last rug burn I had was 1984 in college. Seemed worth it at the time. Not so much anymore. One of those experiences to learn by for me.
