Well mealworms are doing good. Haven't had a lot of time lthe last couple of days. I didn't want to read all the 200 some posts, so if there is something I missed, please inform.

Yeah, my mealworms are doing great, so far two have pupated. All the chooks are doing well, hope everyone else's are good!

yeah, lost all 20 guinea eggs from the nest.. the hen is doing OK,, a little roughed up, but not hurt.. the peachick is still dead.. and had to kill a splayed leg keet this morning.. awww too bad,, but life goes on..

have about 100 keets in the brooder pens.. Oh , how cute..

JJ: Love the Coca Cola of old made with pure can sugar. The local Family Dollar store sells the Mexican bottled Coke. It's more expensive but we don't drink that much soda, so it's worth it.

Coca-Cola with real cane sugar out of a glass bottle is best.

I used to order 6 1/2 oz returnables for a customer in chicago that hosted 50's sock hops. Whatever they didn't buy, I would take home and drink, until I was found out by the VP above me, then I had to share with him.

I was searching for the name of a weed that is growing very well and tall here for my frined Judi...didnt find it while she was here but then I found a site that you could use a question format to ID the weed. My answers brought back 140 possible plants...I was glad that my weed was in the first 10 or so. So the weed is GIANT RAGWEED! Ambrosia Trifida. Horse-cane, horse weed, bloodweed, blood ragweed, tall bloodweed etc. Anyhow, while looking at all these links I cam upon a very interesting blogger. I read a few of his stories and they are very humorous! OH NO!!!!! I am so sad for her...at least the pred didnt get her too! That makes me so mad when that happens! I had a goos that that happened to. Got that critter....

During passover two years ago a rabbi and his son came to the farm for the afternoon milking for several days. They wanted milk and he was there to make sure that everything was prepared properly. I learned so much and really enjoyed having them here.

I bet that was a very interesting few days! What did they need Kosher milk for (a little afraid to ask) and did they get to buy it right from the farm? What different things did you have to do for it to be ok?

I decided to take today off and make it a four day weekend. We started the morning with a nice breakfast at Paoli Cafe, then a fun visit with Susan at Cluck the Chicken Store while picking up feed. Since it is too darned hot out I thought I'd check in while waiting for Kristip to stop by for cucumbers and dill. Always fun visiting with other chicken people.

I drove past that shop when I was helping my friend move last weekend! It looks so adorable. I was wishing that we had had the time to stop in! Someday...

OK I am needing to head out for chores. DH is at the ballgame with DS and allis very nice and quiet here...when I get back in I am going to make some popcorn with coconut oil! MMMM--I am so hooked on that stuff.
