What kinds of problems did your friend have with the west niles shot? I would also purchase shots at fleet. What all do they need?

I resemble these comments as I live in a trailer. Although I don't allow junk to sit around my yard and look trashy. I definitely have seen enough of it in this area though. Husband use to have a very vulgar hat with a trailer on it that said "F*&% Me I'm Trailer Trash!" used to get so mad when he'd where it when we'd go to town.

I don't think living in a trailer makes anyone trailer park people. I suggested the couch because of the one mounted in a tree next to hwy 104 on my way to madison. The same guy has a cement yard deer with a red rudolph light bulb duct taped to the nose, that has no seasonal requirement as to whether it is turned on or not. Now, that's livin' the dream.

Last evening we had to deliver my daughters vehicle she sold to New Richmond and on the way there I seen a deer stand made out of a gravity box with a building built on top of it. Should of taken a picture!

I never thought of that! Now I will never be able to look at it the same way again. Now when I pass by that Deer that is less than 15 feet from the road, I will be very nervous.

When the vaccine originally came out it was had given their horses west niles and killed them. From that moment I decided to not vaccine against it. I'm sure the vaccine has been revamped and is more stable but I just choose to not use it. I honestly can't remember the name but I think it's a 5-way. You can go there and see what they have. I'm not shot happy and honestly have decided to not use alot of them and knock on wood haven't had a problem. When I was showing and competing I kept up everything as I was constantly around other horses, now my horses don't leave my property and do not come in contact with others to be exposed. I guess it all depends on how you feel about it and what kind of plans you have with a horse. I guess you can consider it the same as with our chickens or any animal you have. If they don't come in contact with other risks of diseases you don't have as much of a worry to contract. This is just my personal views on it and in no way am I an expert on anything, just what I choose to do.

Cuties, I figure $100-$120 per month per horse since the hay prices rose depending on location. Farrier, about $25-$30 every 6-8 weeks for trim. many dont like to come out for just one horse. Vet is expensive but they don't need coggins unless traveling. Figure $100 for vaccines twice per year if the vet comes to you. We do our own and my husband is a farrier so that saves money. Any other illnesses can break the bank quickly. I lost one several years back to colic and before we had to put her down we were already in $4,000. I was very sad and very expensive. People are always trying to give my husband free horses, but we don't want any more. They are usually nice horses, but 2 years old and un broke types.

Thanks lisa! I should habve asked you when we were talking about all this! Didn't even think of it at that time if I could give up mountain dew, that would take care of a hefty chunk! I've been addicted to that stuff since I was 16 ish! I gave it up when I was prego!! And smokes and coffee. Talk about he!!
Chores are finally all done. I do not know how single moms handle it. I would not be able to have so many pets. That is for sure. I hope he never takes a job like this again!!
