Here is the one of the Amish poultry barns. See the nest boxes on the walls. They are sloping forward and the eggs roll down into the covered conveyor belt.

These eggs are brought in from one of there other farms. Notice there are no white eggs. I saw the farm next to this farm had a huge fenced in area for free ranging. I don't think there was any grass but they were outside. All in all I was pretty impressed. Although I was behind a glass window so I have no idea if it smelt or not or if so how bad.
Yep, I'd go back next year for another tour. I'd like to ask him what they wash the eggs with and what they are feeding them( the hens not eggs). It says on the egg carton that they are organic.
