Hey enjoy the scrapbook weekend Terri, I also would love to know where you go.
We were supposed to leave for Gov Dodge St park this morning camping, which technically wouldn't be a problem for us since we have a trailer. Our niece and her husband have a tent and two good sized dogs. The idea of wet dogs in a damp tent wasn't too appealing to them, so I think we will grill out one night and have a camp fire here at home.
Kristi, I sure hope you can join us next week. Regarding pellets, I plan to do the same as Cindlady. We switched to ff this June when the chicks hatched and because everyone ranges together the entire flock has been on chick starter/grower. I would like to switch back to the pellets once my current bag of grower is finished, but the new ones haven't started to lay yet. I may need to get one more bag of starter.
I also don't mind when the meaties go to butcher (other than I wish I could find a closer place to take them). We take ours in the week before our fishing trip up North. For me it marks the end of summer and I love autumn so I'm hoping for a nice long fall . . . there are tons of tomatoes to ripen yet
Well the rain stopped so I think we will head out and move the newbies coop set up into the main flock's pasture. Since we are now going to hanging around home this weekend it may be time for the next phase of flock integration.
