Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Sclarke, beautiful pictures!

That poor Springer is pretty pooped out! He ran and ran and ran and ran........ he also found the ducks. He has great instincts for hunting, and apparently is not gun-shy in the least. Pointed like a pro!

Tomorrow he is going to get a refresher in obedience. Sit, stay, come, etc......

I have zero experience with challenging dogs sorry. we do fed once a day separate from the cage and expect to be able to grab the food.other than that.....nothing.

I am siting at Mitchell airport waiting for DD12 flt to get here and then depart.

same here..having foster kids..anyone can take food from my dogs..the baby's could pull bones out of dogs mouths.

Melissa, I can't really give aggressive dog training advice, I mean I could, but my hubby is the expert. You can bounce any persistent issues off him if you need to. He was a police dog handler and trainer for a long time.

Wry neck can also show up suddenly from botulism, Mereks and a couple other health issues. I would have put it down right away personally, but I know a lot of people would disagree.

Hope everyone is well. I am in San Diego this week. The weather is awesome. Not looking forward to getting back to the cold.

PS. The eagle pictures are awesome!

Has anyone been to Rivier Maya, Tulum area in Mexico? We want to book a winter trip and that was one I was considering. Or maybe the French side of St Maarten, Grand Cayman . . . Any suggestions? We're bringing a 7 and 10 year old. We love to snorkel, love to explore nature, don't want a big city, crazy hotel.

Del, I did not answer on the snow question because I didn't want to jinx it! But after our walk, we had some flurries this evening.
Lisa, your making me jealous! !

Love the pics!

Welcome fernie!! Sounds like you have a full house!

Nice to see DrH checking in!

Happy late Anni Brent and Susie!!

sClark, amazing eagle shots! That last one shows just how incredible that wingspan is. I had a college fieldtrip to REGI one year, and got to pet a recuperating female baldie. The lady held it up against her chest, bird facing out and gripping its legs (scary feet). I believe she said their avg weight is only 12lbs; you'd think a bird that big would be heavier.

BL4, good luck with that Springer, awesome of you to work with him. I agree on getting him nice and tired, and taking his food shows him you are alpha - pack leader can do whatever they want, whenever they want. Leaderless dogs develop issues. How very irritating the ignorance of some people; if you don't have dog experience don't get a breed with high drives/energy. My entire family on my mom's side always had and has Springers, its the breed of choice. On my dad's side everyone has German Shepherds. Funny how that is.

Hey TO, we got the kittens spayed this week, and the tortie was not pregnant. She's just squatty and plushy.
